    摘要: A water heater system comprises a water tank, a burner plenum, a flue, and a dilution air blower system. The dilution air blower system comprises a blower, a dilution air passageway, and a venturi system. Air from the blower is forced through the dilution air passageway and discharged toward the venturi system. When the dilution air blower system is attached to the water heater system, air discharged from the dilution air discharge passage via the blower passes through a converging region, throat region, diverging region and exit passage of the venturi system and draws combustion products through the flue and out the venturi system.

    摘要: Apparatus for enhancing combustion of an undesired chemical to minimize the formation of smoke during operation of a flare stack for the discharge of a flare feedstream includes a plurality of high-pressure air nozzles spaced apart below and around the periphery of the stack outlet. Each nozzle is directed toward the stack outlet and in the direction of the feedstream's movement. High-pressure air from the nozzles forms a plurality of high-velocity air jets to produce a moving air mass that draws additional atmospheric air into the air mass moving toward the stack outlet to enhance combustion of the flare feedstream. Analytical means determine the stoichiometric oxygen requirements, and an air-flow valve controls the flow rate of the high-pressure air to the nozzles. Air flow control means adjust the mass flow-rate of high-pressure air based on minimum oxygen requirements determined by the analytical means, whereby the oxygen content of the air flow at the stack outlet meets or exceeds the requirement for the complete combustion of the feedstream.

    摘要: The waste burning boiler comprises a cylindrical outer wall, a cylindrical inner wall consisting of a plurality of vertical water pipes having the gaps therebetween closed by plate members. The plate members are provided with a plurality of holes communicating the annular chamber between the inner and outer walls with the combustion chamber defined inside the inner wall. Compressed air is introduced into the annular chamber, and is blown into the combustion chamber from these small holes. The air blown from these holes provide a sufficient amount of oxygen for combustion, and raises the combustion temperature. Additionally, the air flow from the small holes provide a favorable stirring effect which improves the transfer of heat produced by combustion to the water pipes. Also, because the air blown into the combustion chamber is heated by the heat produced by the combustion in the combustion chamber, the air blown into the combustion chamber would not significantly lower the prevailing temperature in the combustion chamber. The annular chamber additionally serves as an insulator for keeping the outer wall at a relatively low temperature which is desirable not only for simplifying the outer wall design but also for improving the overall thermal efficiency of the boiler.
