摘要: A roof mounting system for the attachment of an article to a roof, the system comprising a plurality of PV modules each having at least one corner and a frame member, a flashing member having a top surface; an upstanding sleeve attached to the top surface of the flashing member; an elevated water seal having a borehole formed therethrough, the elevated water seal further comprising at least one screw for providing a waterproof seal between the article and the roof structure; and whereby the plurality of PV modules are interlocked in a way to provide a corner-to-corner coupling arrangement supported above the roof through the frame members of the plurality of PV modules.

摘要: The present disclosure provides junction boxes for use with roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) modules. The junction boxes may include a housing having a plurality of sides, a bottom having an aperture, and a top edge having a top opening, where the top edge has a lip disposed around the top edge and projecting upward from the top edge. The junction boxes may further include a lid removably coupled to the top edge of the housing and a seal disposed on an outer surface of the bottom of the housing.

摘要: A mounting system may include a frame associated with a power-generating device, the frame including an opening. The mounting system may include a bracket mounting assembly. The bracket mounting assembly may include a top member having a first surface, a clamp, and a single bolt passing through both the top member and the clamp such that the clamp moves along an interface between the first and a second surfaces as the single bolt is tightened. The clamp may include the second surface corresponding to the first surface, an arm projecting away from the top member, and a flange at least proximate a top of the arm. The flange may include an ear at the top of the arm and a tab on a bottom side of the ear projecting back towards the top member, the tab positioned to interface with the opening on the frame.

摘要: A system and method for fastening protective barriers to solar panel systems includes a fastener system including a main clip that is coupled to a support clip and a wireform splice. The main clip and support clip of the fastener system are adapted to engage with a solar panel frame. Once engaged with the panel frame, a barrier, such as wire mesh, is placed adjacent to a front face of the main clip and the wireform splice may be coupled to the main clip and engaged with the barrier. The splice is used to secure the barrier to the faceplate. In one embodiment, the fastening devices may be placed in a spaced arrangement, and the barrier is coupled to each fastening device along the continuous run. In this way, a single section of barrier may be secured to the solar panel array system.

摘要: Disclosed are methods and devices for securing a solar panel racking system to a tile roof, without removing roof tiles. The devices and method in combination may operate under severe weather conditions such as hurricanes, typhoons, and other tropical cyclones. An installer positions a stanchion through a hole in one of the roof tiles in the tile roof and onto a layer of polyurethane foam positioned over a layer of waterproof roof adhesive sealant. The installer extends the threaded fasteners obliquely through the stanchion, the layer of polyurethane foam, and the layer of waterproof roof adhesive sealant into the roof deck. The waterproof adhesive sealant bonds to the roof underlayment and creates a waterproof seal between the threaded fasteners and the roof deck.

摘要: A roof integrated solar power system includes a plurality of solar modules. Each solar module carries a photovoltaic or solar panel with solar cells. Edge regions of the solar module are disposed to the sides of the solar panel and are devoid of solar cells. An electrical component such as a junction box or micro-inverter, or DC optimizer is mounted on top of the solar module within at least one of the edge regions. Cabling for interconnecting the electrical component to electrical components of others of the plurality of solar modules also is located within the side regions. In one embodiment, the electrical component and cabling is disposed within a recess within a side region and covered by a flat access panel. In another embodiment, the electrical component and cabling is located atop the side region and is covered by an access panel in the form of a protective cover strip. The solar modules are installable on a roof in aligned or staggered courses to form the solar power system, and with the installed courses of modules together forming a water barrier protecting the roof.

摘要: An absorber system solves problems of known absorber systems for use in solar fields in that the absorber tube is suspended on a rail below an absorber cover. The design also makes it possible to move measuring and cleaning robots and the like along the absorber tube more and allows the absorber tube and the secondary reflector to be jointly suspended, whereby an exact mutual alignment between the two components is enabled.
