    摘要: A method of discharging artificial snow (S) from a snow making facility (20) including an evaporator vessel (1) and producing snow by means of the technique of freezing water under vacuum pressure by maintaining a vacuum pressure in the evaporator vessel and producing water vapor that absorbs the latent heat of vaporization from the water, whereby the water temperature drops until it freezes and reaches the super cooling temperature that corresponds to the existing vacuum pressure, wherein produced snow is withdrawn from a bottom portion (1A) of the evaporator vessel by means of a first pipe screw conveyor (4), the withdrawn snow is conveyed from the first screw conveyor through a controlled first valve (6) and into a second pipe screw conveyor (5) and snow is discharged to the atmosphere from the second screw conveyor through a controlled second valve (7). A facility for producing artificial snow as well as a method for controlling the quality of produced artificial snow are also provided.

    摘要: A method for producing substantially dendritic snow includes: a) supplying a flow of humid air (1) and a flow of cold air (9) into a substantially closed space (15, 16, 17) to mix the two air flows and create an atmosphere oversaturated with water within the space; b) forming ice crystals and allowing snowflakes to grow from the oversaturated atmosphere, keeping the ice crystals and growing snowflakes floating within the space and allowing them to grow over a predetermined period of time sufficiently long to obtain snowflakes having a predefined size, the floating condition being achieved by moving the ice crystals and growing snowflakes, on average, along a substantially helical trajectory by the air flow, which results in the snowflakes being distributed according to their size along the substantially helical trajectory; and c) thereafter releasing the predefined size snowflakes via a release opening (7) of the space by a carrier air flow (3).

    摘要: An apparatus for producing simulated snow effects for theatrical environments. To create simulated snow in the quantities and qualities necessary for theatrical effects, ice is used as the source material. A plurality of storage channels are adapted for holding and channeling blocks of ice to the snow creating member. A rotating disc incorporates a plurality of radially directed, adjustable cutting blades mounted in the surface of the disc. The disc is rotatable beneath each of the ice supply channels. Each of the cutting blades is pivotable along one radial edge thereof, the angular position of the blade relative to the surface of the disc determining the thickness of the layer of ice shaved from the surface of the ice block in contact therewith. Immediately forwardly of each ice cutting blade is an aperture disposed in the disc to provide a downwardly directed fluid force to the shaved ice. When elevated, shavings or flakes of ice having a selectable thickness from 0.005-0.030 inches may be distributable over an area in excess of 2,000 square feet.

The pipe member communicates with a snowfall hood disposed in the test chamber and having a supply opening that allows snow to fall. The cylindrical body is disposed in an oblique posture so as to be lowered from a proximal end toward a distal end of the cylindrical body.

    摘要: Systems and methods of artificial snow dispersal are disclosed in which rapid evaporating snow is produced from a fluid. Two lines, an air line and a fluid line, are configured to substantially reach the top of or near the top of the tree. The respective lines may be configured to move air and fluid to the top of the tree. At the top of the tree there may be a nozzle with air escape holes configured around the exterior of the component. An output membrane may attach to the middle of the nozzle. The fluid line emits a small amount of fluid into the fabric. The air that passes into the fabric causes small foam bubbles. The air that passes through the external section of the output membrane may then peel the foam bubbles off thereby creating artificial snow.
