    摘要: An extendable level includes a base frame having an internal passage, an extension member positioned within the internal passage and movable between an extended position and a retracted position relative to the frame, and a retainer mechanism for securing the extension member in position relative to the frame. The retainer mechanism is in the form of a modular retainer assembly that can be assembled as a unit to the base frame. The retainer mechanism includes a positioning arrangement that is configured to prevent movement of the extension member relative to the frame at predetermined positions of the extension member relative to the frame via a first engagement arrangement, and is further configured to resist movement of the extension member relative to the base frame at locations between the predetermined positions via a second engagement arrangement.

    摘要: A trip hazard measurement gauge is, except for a measurement module and display, constructed primarily of aluminum. A cylindrical tube has an upper straight section and a lower straight section that are interconnected by a curved section. The upper straight section and the lower straight section form an obtuse angle. A cylindrical aluminum housing is connected to the tube via a conical connecter piece. A non-movable foot is rigidly connected to the cylindrical housing. A measurement module is installed within the cylindrical housing. A slidable rule, to which a movable foot is attached to a lower end thereof, extends from the measurement module. A return spring ensures that the movable foot returns to its lowermost position. After turning ON the display, selecting the measurement system and zeroing the gauge, it is ready to measure differences in elevation between adjacent sidewalk slabs.
