    摘要: Separate areas of a display board are selectively activated either separately or in various combinations to illustrate a chord diagram, a fingerboard diagram, and/or a musical staff diagram. Lamps in each of the three diagrams are illuminated responsive to the playing of a specially constructed stringed instrument by the instructor to illustrate finger positions in the case of the chord diagram and the fingerboard diagram, and to illustrate musical position of the notes played on the scale diagram. One or more lock-in switches cause the activated lamps to remain lighted after the strings of the musical instrument are released by the instructor. Finally a digital readout lamp associated with each string on the chord diagram illustrates the finger which should be used to depress the corresponding string at the location indicated by the lamp.

    摘要: This portable mailing scale is a small, economical, and accurate balance-type weight-scale, especially suitable for measuring light weight, such as letters, to determine correct postage. Because the scale is of the balance-type, its accuracy is far better than those of the spring-type, especially under light load. Although scales of the balance-type usually require a trial and error leveling or balancing operation and thus are less convenient to use than those of the spring-type, this invention does not require such cumbersome leveling operation.Therefore, this invention combines both the accuracy of balance-type scales and the ease of use of spring-type scales.

    摘要: A level compensator for a precision and fine balance comprising a balance frame, a balance beam, a support for said beam, a microscale provided on the beam, a screen, and a projection apparatus for the reproduction of a section of the microscale on said screen. The level compensator comprises a pendulum provided on the balance frame for automatic level compensation. The support axis of the pendulum is arranged parallel to the support axis of the balance beam. A light reflecting member is situated on the pendulum and deflects the projection light beam. The center of gravity of the pendulum lies above an imaginary horizontal plane comprising the pendulum support axis and a spring arrangement acts on the balance frame and on the pendulum beyond the support axis thereof whereby the torque exerted by the spring arrangement on the pendulum counteracts the torque brought about by the center of gravity of the pendulum. The center of gravity of the pendulum lies laterally above the support axis of the pendulum. An adjusting weight is adjustable in relation to the support axis of the pendulum.
