    摘要: A method for determining the weight of an entity/item to be weighed on a weighing device (1), the weighing device comprising at least a weight sensor and a control unit (4),the method comprising the following steps: /a/ collecting weight raw samples (WSi) of the total weight sensed at the weight sensor(s), at a sampling frequency (F0), and converting each of the weight raw samples (WSi) into digitalized weight raw samples (DSi), /b/ entering sequentially each of the digitalized weight raw samples (DSi) into a Butterworth filter, the latter issuing filtered weight samples (FSi), /c/ defining a rolling window (RW) containing a parametrized number NS of latest filtered weight samples (FSi), /d1/ determining, in the rolling window, the minimum (MIN) and maximum (MAX) values of filtered weight samples, /d2/ comparing the value of MAX−MIN with regard to a parametrized Threshold (T), /e/ if MAX−MIN is greater than Threshold (T), repeat steps /a/ to /d2/, and as soon as MAX−MIN is less than Threshold (T), output a final weight value (DV), obtained from one or more of the most recent filtered weight samples.

    摘要: A strain gage bridge circuit and method for sensitivity equalization, particularly suitable for load cell devices for precision measurement. The sensitivity of opposing half-bridges in a strain gage bridge circuit is equalized by a pair of equal, fixed resistors connected across a bridge diagonal formed by the two half-bridges, and a third resistor connecting the junction of the two equal, fixed resistors to the center of the half-bridge with the highest sensitivity. The effective shunting of the most sensitive half bridge can be changed by changing the value of the third resistor, while the ratio of the two equivalent shunting resistance values remain exactly constant. The total load on the bridge diagonal also remains constant when the value of the third resistor is changed. Both sets of orthogonally arranged opposed half-bridges in a strain gage bridge circuit can be equalized independently when two sets of equalizing resistors are used.

    摘要: A weight measuring hook block apparatus for cranes attachable between the crane and the hook or other load engaging device and usable on already existing cranes or as original equipment on hereafter constructed cranes comprises a hook block frame member supporting the ends of a substantially straight longitudinal bar which is elastically deformable in response to loading forces applied to the bar. A force applying member is positioned on the bar between the ends thereof to transmit forces to the bar which are exerted on the force applying member. One of the members is carried by the crane, and the remaining member is arranged to carry the load engaging device so that a load applied to one of the members causes the remaining member to exert reaction force on the bar to deform the bar elastically. Strain gauge means operatively mounted on the bar detect deformation of the bar caused by these forces and provide a measurable response indicating the weight of the load carried by the load engaging device. Means are provided on the hook block frame member to transmit a radio signal to the crane cab, the radio signal including information informing the operator of the magnitude of the load.

    摘要: A drift compensating system includes a detecting circuit having at least one semiconductor element to generate an output in proportion to a physical quantity to be applied thereto, a first terminal for providing the output, a switching element, a memory circuit connected to the first terminal through the switching element for memorizing the output upon closure of the switching element, and a second terminal connected to the memory circuit. Upon closure of the switching element the output is applied to the memory circuit to render the first and second terminals to be at the same potential to thereby cancel any drift. Upon a subsequent opening of the switching element, a potential difference appears between the terminals in accordance with any change of the output.

    摘要: An electrical load cell-type weighing system having a plurality of load cells supporting a load-receiving structure and providing electrical potentials, the sum of which is a function of the weight of a load applied to the load-receiving structure. Summing resistor networks directly connect the load cell bridges independently of each other to a summing junction of a single ended operational summing amplifier. The potentials produced by the load cells are algebraically summed at the summing junction. Another disclosed feature pertains to a defective load cell testing circuit comprising a switch for selectively providing a short circuit connection across the output terminals of each load cell bridge to determine whether the load cell is defective. Another feature pertains to a special operational amplifier summing network which selectively provides weight measurements in different units of mass such as pounds and kilograms.
