    摘要: Properties of a medium of food or feed, such as the fat content of meat, are determined by the use of dual X-ray absorptiometry with dual energy levels. Substantially, the entire medium is scanned by X-ray beams, and the X-rays passing through the medium are detected for a plurality of areas (pixels) of the medium. For each area, values Alow and Ahigh, representing absorption in the area of the medium at low and high energy levels are calculated. A plurality of values being products of the type Alown*Ahighm are generated and used for predicting the properties of the medium in this area. Thereby the accuracy of the property determination is improved considerably.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for automatically detecting contours of, for example, shutters or implants in an X-ray image. A number of closed paths is derived from the X-ray image, one of said closed paths being selected, in dependence on the contrast along the closed paths, as the contour. The closed paths may be derived from a set of line candidates on which contour pixel candidates are situated. The contour pixel candidates can be derived from a high-pass or gradient version of the X-ray image.

    摘要: A system and method for producing three-dimensional representations of an object. A first series of projected images of the selected object is recorded in a first projection plane and a second series of projected images of the selected object is recorded in a second projection plane. The first and the second series of projected images are rendered at a common magnification. The first set of projected images is then integrated into a first three-dimensional volume and the second set of projected images is integrated into a second three-dimensional volume. The three-dimensional representation of the object is then produced by combining one projected image from the first set of projected images with one projected image from the second set of projected images. Alternatively, the three-dimensional representation is produced by merging the first three-dimensional volume with the second three-dimensional volume.

    摘要: A method of estimating an asymmetrical scatter signal distribution wherein asymmetry is introduced by angular incidence of radiation, which has been emitted from a source and transmitted through an object to be imaged, on a detector, is disclosed. This method includes, in an embodiment, modifying scatter that would be derived wherein the radiation is directly incident on the detector with zero degrees of inclination, using an asymmetry factor which indicates the shape and magnitude of the scatter signal distribution and which varies with an angle at which the radiation is incident on the detector, a mean attenuation coefficient of the object, and a distance the radiation has traveled through the object. The estimated scatter provides for correction of scatter in a image.
