    摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for measuring impedance and voltage characteristics of cells of multi-cell electrochemical devices, for example a battery or a fuel cell stack. Voltages are measured across individual cells, or groups of cells. At the same time, a load is connected in series with the electrochemical device. Both the device for measuring the voltages and the load are controlled together, preferably by means of a controller, which can include some form of microprocessor. This enables the load to be controlled to provide a desired combination of DC and AC current characteristics. By setting appropriate DC and AC current characteristics, desired characteristics of the impedance of individual cells can be measured.

    摘要: The amount of charge passing through a measurement resistor connected to a rechargeable battery is measured by integrating in an analog manner an overall current. This overall current is equal to the sum of the resistor current and of a reference current that selectively takes one of two opposite values. The results of the integration are compared with a reference voltage, and one of two opposite values of the reference current is selected depending on each result of the comparison. The number of times where the positive opposite value of the reference current is selected furnishes an indication on the amount of charge during the integration time.

    摘要: An alternator tester having improved heat dissipation. The alternator tester has a housing and a circuit board including tester circuits. The housing has a size suitable to be held in one's hand. The housing includes a first compartment for receiving the circuit board and a second compartment for housing a load. The load is coupled to an alternator when the alternator tester conducts a test on the alternator. The second compartment has an opening disposed on one side and a fan disposed on the other side. The load, the opening and the fan are substantially in line. The opening and the fan form an air flow path, when the fan is in operation, the heat generated by the load is dissipated to the surrounding air and drawn out through the air path.

A voltage supply circuit for such voltage measuring circuit of a composite fuel cell system comprising a plurality of individual fuel cells connected in series includes at least one voltage stabilization element connected in parallel with the circuit which is to be supplied with voltage by the composite fuel cell system. At least one current source or current sink is connected in series with this parallel circuit.
