Abstract: The electric vehicle including one or more in-wheel motors, a battery electrically coupled to one or more in-wheel motors, a power electronics including a DC-AC inverter, a AC-DC inverter, and a boost converter that receives DC power from the battery and supplies AC power to the one or more in-wheel motors, and a generator electrically coupled to the battery via the power electronics. Further, it includes a Rankine cycle system including a pump, a first valve having an input, a first output, and a second output connected to the pump, the generator, and the one or more in-wheel motors, respectively. A second valve having a first input connects to the generator, a second input connects the one or more in-wheel motors and an output delivers the working fluid to the power electronics. An expander receives the working fluid from at least one of the power electronics.

Abstract: An electrical pulse generator for ohmic-inductive loads with a capacitive module in which a primary capacitor is charged by a first generator for generating voltage pulses, with high capacity and high voltage, on an ohmic-inductive load. In the capacitive module there is also a secondary capacitor or supercapacitor with a very high capacity, charged by a second generator designed to continuously supply voltage to the load. An electronic splitter, or Chopper is interposed between the capacitive module and the load which splits the voltage supplied by the capacitive module according to modulated high frequency pulses, in such a way that the value of the voltage supplied to the load is constant.

Abstract: The invention relates to a sensor arrangement on a steering column (2) of a motor vehicle and consists of at least two sensors (10, 11, 20, 21) for redundant capture of the torque applied to the steering column (2) and/or for capture of the rotation angle of the steering column (2). The sensors (10, 11, 20, 21) of the sensor arrangement (9) are connected to a power supply (VDD, GND) via electrical lines (30, 31, 32, 33), each of the sensors (10, 11, 20, 21) transmitting data to a controller (8) via a signal line (16, 17, 26, 27). In order to reduce the number of connecting cables to the controller (8), provision is made for the signal lines (16, 17, 26, 27) from two sensors (10, 11, 20, 21) to be connected to the controller (8) via a common data line (34, 35, 36). Each sensor (10, 11, 20, 21) can be individually actuated by the controller (8) via the data line (34, 35, 36) and the signal line (16, 17, 26, 27) such that a signal (53) from the controller (8) prompts the addressed sensor (10, 11, 20, 21) to output its data to the controller (8) via the signal line (16, 17, 26, 27) and the data line (34, 35, 36).

Abstract: A method for assisting with the positioning of a motor vehicle for inductive charging of a battery of the motor vehicle comprises reading a number plate associated with the motor vehicle using the number plate information to produce a location on the vehicle of a vehicle inductive coupling point (VICP) with reference to at least one reference point on the motor vehicle, comparing a predicted current position of the VICP to a fixed inductive coupling point (ICP) located in or on a road surface upon which the motor vehicle is to be positioned, and providing feedback to one of the driver and the motor vehicle indicative of the required action required to produce alignment of the VICP with the ICP. The method may further comprise energizing the ICP to charge the battery of the motor vehicle when the VICP is predicted to be aligned with the ICP.
