摘要: An automatic rechargeable battery control module for a vehicle, such as a golf cart incorporates an automatic battery control system that automatically switches from charge to discharge modes with a single relay, thereby preventing the need to manually reset a relay switch due to an over or under voltage situation. An automatic battery control circuit is coupled with a battery management system and a relay contactor is opened and closed by a signal from the battery management system. The battery management system monitors a state of charge of the battery unit as well as current flow to and from a battery unit. The automatic rechargeable battery control module may have a state of charge output that is connected with a state of charge indicator to inform a driver of an approximate driving range or time remaining.

摘要: A two-way distribution, charging, and vending system permits a subscriber to exchange one or more partially or completely discharged portable electric energy storage devices for a comparable number of charged portable electric energy storage devices. The two-way distribution, charging, and vending system includes a number of charging modules, each with a dedicated power converter, communicably coupled to at least one two-way distribution system controller and to a power distribution grid. Upon receipt of a discharged portable electric energy storage device, the at least one two-way distribution system controller validates a manufacturer identifier and a subscriber identifier stored in a nontransitory storage media carried by the discharged portable electric energy storage device. Responsive to a successful authentication and validation, the at least one two-way distribution system controller dispenses a charged portable electric energy storage device to the subscriber.

A degradation progression rate calculation unit calculates a degradation progression rate of the storage battery based on the information acquired by the battery information acquisition unit. A limit value setting unit sets a limit value for controlling charge/discharge of the storage battery based on the degradation progression rate calculated by the degradation progression rate calculation unit. A timing determination unit determines a timing at which the limit value needs to be output based on the information acquired by the battery information acquisition unit. A limit value output unit outputs the limit value to a host controller based on the timing determined by the timing determination unit.

A power network server includes a controller and a memory storing a program to be executed in the controller. The program includes instructions for collecting information about energy consumption of the battery and information about a vehicle state from the vehicle, converting an ambient temperature based energy consumption to a reference temperature based learned energy consumption, calculating a charging or discharging amount of energy by reflecting the current ambient temperature based on the converted learned energy consumption, setting a range of charging or discharging current based on the charging or discharging amount of energy and an extra amount of energy, and managing the battery based on the set range of charging or discharging current.
