摘要: A device for applying a distribution cabling tape system includes a distribution cabling tape having an adhesive capable of adhering to a concrete or asphalt substrate and a distribution cable. The device includes an endoscope camera, wherein movement of the device in one direction simultaneously applies both the distribution cable and the distribution cabling tape at a location on the substrate viewable by the endoscope camera. A method for registering a cable and a cabling tape into a channel in a concrete or asphalt substrate includes using an endoscope to view the location at which the cable and cabling tape are applied.

摘要: A drop wire clamp to secure a cable that comprise an outer shell and an inner wedge. The outer shell having a first wall, a second wall, and a shell base to couple the first wall with the second wall. The shell base further defines a shell channel. An inner wedge is receivable in the outer shell and movable between a first position and a second position within the outer shell. The inner wedge has a wedge base defining a wedge channel, wherein the shell channel aligns with the wedge channel in the second position to form a containment structure to house a cable therein. The containment structure includes a length dimension and a width dimension, wherein the length dimension is greater than the width dimension and the length dimension extends in a same direction as the shell base of the outer shell.

摘要: Several methods of deploying an optical fiber carrying structure along a road are provided. In one method a recess and channel are created within a road. The optical fiber carrying structure is deployed in the channel and a cover encloses the optical fiber carrying structure within the channel. In another method the optical fiber carrying structure is anchored to the road and/or curb. In another method the optical fiber carrying structure is coupled to a brace that is affixed to the road. The brace facilitates quickly installing lateral transitions from the primary channel in the road to installation environments off the road.

摘要: A fiber optic telecommunications device includes a frame and a fiber optic module including a rack mount portion, a center portion, and a main housing portion. The rack mount portion is stationarily coupled to the frame, the center portion is slidably coupled to the rack mount portion along a sliding direction, and the main housing portion is slidably coupled to the center portion along the sliding direction. The main housing portion of the fiber optic module includes fiber optic connection locations for connecting cables to be routed through the frame. The center portion of the fiber optic module includes a radius limiter for guiding cables between the main housing portion and the frame, the center portion also including a latch for unlatching the center portion for slidable movement. Slidable movement of the center portion with respect to the rack mount portion moves the main housing portion with respect to the frame along the sliding direction.

摘要: Various embodiments include methods and apparatus structured to install an optical fiber cable into a well at a well site. In a from-bottom-to-top embodiment, an anchor deployed at a selected location in a hole of the well can be used and the optical fiber cable can be pulled up to a surface of the well from the selected location. In a from-top-to-bottom embodiment, an optical fiber cable can be moved down from the surface until an end of the optical fiber cable is locked at a selected location by a catcher disposed at the selected location. With the optical fiber cable in the well, a portion of the optical fiber cable can be coupled to surface instrumentation. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods can be implemented in a variety of applications.
