    摘要: A brake pedal crash safety device for a vehicle in which a brake pedal arm is rotatably mounted to a first vehicle body component and has a first locking element, shaped as a circle-sector and having its geometrical center at a center of movement of the brake pedal arm. A second locking element is mounted to a second vehicle body component. The second locking element is mounted a predetermined distance from the first locking element. The predetermined distance is constant and has a predetermined amount of allowable movement therebetween for a brake pedal arm position. A crash force applied to a front of the vehicle displaces the first vehicle body component toward the second vehicle body component and the predetermined amount of allowable movement between the first and second locking elements will be closed, irrespective of a current pedal position, thereby preventing further rotation of the brake pedal arm through interlocking first and second locking elements.

    摘要: The vehicle brake pedal device includes a pedal bracket fixed to a partition wall, a brake arm and a coupling arm assembled to the pedal bracket, a clevis and a movable plate assembled to the coupling arm, and a fixed member and a coupling bracket assembled to a vehicle body component. In the event of a front collision of the vehicle, the pedal bracket is moved backward, and the movable plate is brought into abutment against the fixed member to rotate. As a result, a push part of the movable plate is brought into abutment against the clevis, and a breakable part of the clevis is broken so that the clevis and the coupling arm are decoupled from each other. Then, the coupling arm is rotated forward with respect to the pedal bracket.

    摘要: A pedal bracket is fixed to a dash panel on an interior side of a vehicle room. A brake arm is oscillatably supported by the pedal bracket and has a brake pedal pad at its one end. A coupling arm is supported by the pedal bracket and couples a push rod and the brake arm together. A rotating arm is supported by the coupling arm in a rotatable state. One end of the rotating arm contacts with a fixed bracket and thereby rotates the rotating arm when the pedal bracket is displaced in a vehicle rearward direction. The rotation causes contact of another end of the rotating arm with the push rod to induce curving of the push rod.

A brake pedal device (1) includes a protrusion (90) which performs rotation restriction for preventing a rotating member (50) from rotating about a rotating shaft portion (14), and on which a restricting load (F2) acts by the rotation restriction. During the rotation restriction by the protrusion (90), a second load acts as the restricting load (F2) when a step portion (24) of an operation pedal mechanism (20) is fully stepped forward of a vehicle, and when the restricting load (F2) is greater than the second load, the rotation restriction is released due to deformation of the protrusion (90) by shearing or bending.

    摘要: An active release system for a pedal assembly which permits the pedal to be operated after releasing. A pivot pin supporting the pedal arm is mounted in a plurality of slots. The pin is held in position in the slots by a release lever assembly. The release lever assembly is held in position by two shear pins. The force of the discharge during a crash breaks the shear pins to rotate a release lever away from the pivot pin. The pedal pivot pin is then free to travel in the slots in the mounting bracket towards the occupant thereby pivoting the pedal arm from the passenger compartment allowing the pedal to be operated after releasing.

    摘要: Embodiments described herein are directed to a pedal assembly. The pedal assembly includes a housing, a pedal arm, a retaining member, and a block. The pedal arm has an upper end. The upper end is pivotally coupled to the housing. The retaining member is slidably engaged within the housing. The retaining member has a first angled portion. A portion of the retaining member in communication with the upper end of the pedal arm. The block is slidably mounted within the housing and perpendicular to the first angled portion of the retaining member. The block has a second angled portion that is complimentary to the first angled portion. Upon an impact, the second angled portion slidably engages with the first angled portion, which causes the retaining member to move and release the upper end of the pedal arm from the housing.

    摘要: A supporting structure of a pedal device for a vehicle is provided in which displacement of the stepping surface of the pedal device can be controlled at the time when an external force of a predetermined value or greater is applied from the front of the vehicle. An elongated hole whose longitudinal direction is a substantially longitudinal direction of the vehicle is formed at the intermediate portion of a pedal supporting portion. A clevis pin is inserted into the elongated hole at the front end portion thereof. A bush, which is away from the elongated hole due to the application of load, is mounted to the other remaining portion of the elongated hole. A bush stopper is provided at the rear side of the bush such that, when an external force of a predetermined value or greater is applied from the front of the vehicle, due to the bush stopper, the bush is away from the elongated hole. Therefore, the rearward movement of the clevis pin is enabled so that the distance between a dash panel and a connecting portion of a push rod and the pedal supporting portion can be made to be shorter than that before the application of the external force of a predetermined value or greater from the front of the vehicle. As a result, a pedal pad of a brake pedal can be displaced toward the front of the vehicle.
