摘要: A coin routing gate for accepting coins in a coin handling mechanism requires only a low power electromagnet to hold the gate in an accept position. In the absence of power to the electromagnet, the gate passively rejects coins by gravity alone. The gate is arranged to accomplish minimization of the required holding force to minimize electrical power requirements thereby making the device suitable for low electrical power contexts such as coin operated telephone service.

摘要: A machine for dispensing individual balloons and inflating such balloons with a gas flowing through a selectively operated control valve. An electric circuit is provided for the machine which is powered solely by a battery, and this current operates the gas control valve as well as an indicator lamp which indicates to the user when the gas control valve should be activated. This circuit is designed to automatically open after a period of time under all operating conditions whereby neither the operator for the gas control valve nor the indicator lamp can inadvertently remain in circuit with the battery for any significant period of time, whereby the battery will not become drained of its power over a short period of time.

摘要: An automatic gasoline dispenser receiving tokens from customers and paying out change to the nearest penny for gasoline purchased but not dispensed. A dispenser with an accuracy of one four hundredth of a gallon and indicating volume dispensed to one four hundredth of a gallon. An automatic dispenser delivering gasoline to the last full cent when the total amount purchased is taken by the customer.

摘要: A CONTROL AND CHANGE MAKING DEVICE IS PROVIDED FOR A FLUID DISPENSING PUMP TO RECEIVE MONEY DEPOSITED BY A CUSTOMER AND STORE INFORMATION SIGNALS INDICATIVE OF THE AMOUNT OF MONEY RECEIVED. AS FLUID IS DISPENSED, PLUS ARE PRODUCED TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF STORED INFORMATION SIGNALS UNTIL THE DESIRED AMOUNT OF FLUID IS DESPENSED. WHEN THE AMOUNT OF FLUID DISPENSED REPRESENTS THE AMOUNT OF MONEY RECEIVED, THE DISPENSING IS AUTOMATICALLY STOPPED. IF THE AMOUNT OF FLUID DISPENSED IS LESS THAN THE AMOUNT OF MONEY DEPOSITED, THE CUSTOMER MAY OPERATE A CIRCUIT TO RECEIVE THE PROPER AMOUNT OF CHANGE. AS THE CHANGE IS GIVEN, THE STORED INFORMATION SIGNALS ARE REDUCED UNTIL NO INFORMATION SIGNALS REMAIN, AT WHICH TIME NO FURTHER CHANGE IS PROVIDED.

摘要: Automatically determining the cost to complete a printed job on a digital printing press. A Job Control Component in the Digital Front End of the printing press collects and stores the processing information from the job processing components after each has completed its step in the sequence of steps required to complete the printed job. A Job Reporting Component displays the stored processing information and, when the press owner has stored the predetermined cost of each processing step, automatically computes and displays the cost of the job.
