    摘要: In a video display, correction data for a digital convergence arrangement are stored in a first non-volatile memory. During power turn on procedure, the correction data are read out of and stored in a volatile memory. During each deflection cycle, the data stored in the volatile memory are successively read out and applied to an auxiliary convergence winding. When a parity error is detected in the read out data, an output and/or an input of a convergence amplifier is actively disabled to prevent a disturbance of a screen of the cathode ray tube.

    摘要: An apparatus and a method for correcting a distorted image is capable of correcting an optical distortion of an image and misconvergence by prewarping an inputted image without using a convergence yoke, and an image displayer using the same. The apparatus for correcting an image distortion for an image displayer in which an image signal is inputted to display an image on a screen and an image distortion is corrected, includes: a reference image generator for generating a predetermined reference image; a camera for inputting the reference image and photographing an image outputted on the screen; and a distortion information extracting unit for comparing the photographed image outputted from the camera and the reference image outputted from the reference image generator, and generating distortion correction information to correct a distortion of the photographed image in case that the image has been distorted.

The improvements and modifications include (a) conforming the rear electrode to the shape of the front electrode; (b) encapsulating the electrophoretic medium and particles; (c) modifying the viscosity of the electrophoretic medium; (d) polymer coating the electrophoretic particles; (e) use of a high volume fraction of electrophoretic particles; (f) tethering the electrophoretic particles to the reflecting sheet; (g) using particles of varying electrophoretic mobility; (h) controlling the shape of the electrophoretic particles; (i) use of a low refractive index layer over the channel electrode; (j) providing cross-walls within the electrophoretic medium; (k) use of two immiscible liquids as the electrophoretic medium; and (I) replacing the electrophoretic particles with ones containing absorbing and/or scattering centers within a light transmissive matrix.
