摘要: Methods and apparatuses according the present embodiments derive the sound of a Hammond tonewheel organ from the equal-tempered tuning of its tonewheels and drawbar registration design, as well as its vibrato/chorus processing and pickup distortion. In embodiments, as a reverberation effect, the modal processor simulates a room response as the sum of resonant filter responses, providing precise, independent and interactive control over the frequency, damping, and complex amplitude of each mode. As an effects processor, the modal processor provides pitch shifting and distortion by simple manipulations of the mode output sinusoids.

摘要: Provided are a method, computer storage device, and tone control device for generating tones with a vibrato effect. A determination is made of a key depression interval comprising a difference of a current time of a current note from a previous time of a previous note. A performance mode is set to a single tone mode, in which only one note is generated, or a polyphonic mode, in which multiple notes are simultaneously generated, based on the determined key depression interval. The tone is generated to output the current note with a first modulation magnitude in response to determining that the performance mode is the single tone mode. A tone is generated to output the current note with a second modulation magnitude in response to determining that the performance mode is the polyphonic mode, wherein the first modulation magnitude is greater than the second modulation magnitude.

摘要: A delay-time-modulation effecting apparatus employed by an electronic musical instrument or the like, is designed to effect a certain delay-time modulation on a musical tone signal so as to realize a desired modulation effect appear on a musical tone to be produced. The delay-time modulation is effected in response to a time lag between a write time and a read time at which the musical tone signal is written into and is read from a storage device (e.g., random-access memory). When a read address advances fast to be ahead of the write address, an overmodulation state emerges so that discontinuity in level of the musical tone signals occurs, which will result in an occurrence of noises. In order to avoid such an event, the read address should be limited not to advance ahead of the write address. Herein, the write address is generated in such a manner that the number thereof is circulatorily varied in a lapse of time within a certain address range, while the read address is generated by performing a computation using the modulation data and an offset address. The modulation data is generated in response to a desired modulation effect to be realized. The apparatus provides an address-limit circuit, which is activated when the overmodulation state is detected so that the read address is limited not to advance ahead of the write address. Thus, the occurrence of noises can be avoided.

摘要: An electronic musical instrument according to the present invention has oscillators for generating a tone waveform; a modulator for modulating a musical tone; a modulation controller for determining a degree of modulation to be performed by the modulator; and a central control unit for controlling the oscillators, the modulator and the modulation controller. A memory stores a current control value of the modulation controller, and an input/output device reads a control value stored in the memory, by the central controller, and/or writes a control value stored in the memory into the central controller to ensure the control of the degree of modulation and the alteration of frequency bands.
