    摘要: An optical pick-up generates a 0-th order diffraction light and ±1st order diffraction lights by a diffraction grating and irradiates the same to an optical disc. The ±1st order diffraction lights have phase distributions equivalent to a wavefront aberration of the optical disc when there is a tilt in the optical disc. Distances between the center of the main optical spot and centers of sub optical spots in a disc radial direction on a recording surface are whole multiples of a track pitch. The generation circuit generates a main push-pull signal corresponding to the 0-th order diffraction light and first and second sub push-pull signals corresponding to the ±1st order diffraction lights and generates tracking error signals TE as differential push-pull signals obtained by subtracting a sum signal of the first and second sub push-pull signals from the main push-pull signal.

    摘要: The object of the present invention is to propose an optical disk driving apparatus, an optical disk driving method and an optical disk apparatus capable of reducing the occurrence of disturbance to focus servo control and tracking servo control. In the optical disk driving apparatus, a tilt driving section (27) is provided with waveform shaping unit for shaping a driving current waveform driving a tilt motor (28) for changing the angle of an optical pickup (3) with respect to the rotating surface of an optical disk. Thus, it is possible to prevent the vibration of the optical pickup (3), to reduce disturbance derived from the vibration of an objective lens (8) to focus control and tracking control and to suppress mechanical noise while tilt driving is being performed. Besides, since there is no need to provide a tilt sensor, the optical pickup (3) can be made small in size and therefore, the smaller-sized optical disk driving apparatus can be provided.

    摘要: In advance of the playback of an optical disk 11, the peaks of a focus error signal are detected, and the reference values of the focus error signal are set on the basis of the values of the peaks. In executing a layer jump, a kick signal for an object lens 13a is stopped from being outputted when the focus error signal exceeds the reference value of one polarity. A brake signal is outputted when the focus error signal exceeds the reference value in the opposite polarity. A time period for which the brake signal is outputted, is set on the basis of a time period for which the kick signal has been outputted. After the stop of the output of the brake signal, the peak of the focus error signal is waited for, whereupon a focusing servo 21 is turned ON.

    摘要: An actuator for optical pick-up using the concentrated magnetization method that is capable of moving an objective lens converging a laser light beam onto an optical disc. In the actuator, a lens holder is attached to the objective lens. Coils are wound around the lens holder to receive a current. A permanent magnet constructs a magnetic circuit along with the coils to generate a driving force for the objective lens and is magnetized to concentrate a magnetic flux toward the coils. The actuator can improve a driving sensitivity in a wide frequency band with the aid of the permanent magnet in which a magnetic flux density concentrates on the effective surfaces of the coils.
