    摘要： A control dial features a disk-shaped handle with a diametrical pivot, permitting pivoting of the handle from a first orientation flush with the surface of the controlled device to a second position perpendicular to the surface of the controlled device. In the second position, rotation of the handle carries with it a generally hemispherical housing in which the hinge or pivot is mounted. The housing, in turn, is mounted for rotation about an axis perpendicular to the surface of the controlled device, and is connected to a rotary switch which may be mounted on a printed circuit board fixed inside the controlled device.

    摘要： When the plunger is depressed, the actuating blade acts on the cam to rotate the cam detent and wiper assembly 60*. The rotating detent cooperates with the fixed detent to give the ''''feel'''' and indexing action. The fixed contacts are arranged so one of the three wipers will always contact a ''''hot'''' contact while one of the wipers will contact either the low beam or high beam contacts in the static (detented) position. During the switching action, which occurs after the detent action starts and, therefore, at high speed, there is always an interval when both the high and low beam contacts are engaged by the wipers to make the new circuit before breaking the old circuit. The ''''hot'''' circuit is never broken and arcing is minimized. The use of three blades instead of two increases switch life. And safety is improved since there is no time during which no headlamp circuit is made.

When an actuation assembly moves the contacts to the open or closed position, the contacts move longitudinally relative to the contact carrier.

    摘要： A self-propelled combine harvester is equipped with a grain cutting platform having a floating, flexible cutter bar. The operating height of the grain platform is controlled conventionally by hydraulic cylinders. An automatic operating mode may be chosen in which the hydraulic cylinders are responsive to a signal corresponding to vertical disposition of the floating cutter bar relative to the floor of the platform. The automatic control system includes a sealed self-contained position sensor switch module directly coupled to a sensor rock shaft whose rotational position in the platform frame is representative of the disposition of the cutter bar relative to the platform floor. The sensor switch module includes a segmented printed circuit board and an associated wiper arm with a brush assembly, directly coupled to the sensor shaft. Selector switching means includes a rotary switch at the operator station which the operator can set to control the platform at any one of three operating height set points. A mechanical float range indicator is optionally provided.
