    摘要： A tank-type oil circuit-breaker has a pair of arc-extinguishing grid-structures disposed interiorly within the oil tank, each of said arc-extinguishing grid-structures having a pair of outwardly-directed horizontally-laterally-spaced venting ports, with the angular direction, or divergence between the two horizontally-spaced venting ports of somewhat critical angular magnitude.The construction is such that the two spaced venting ports on each arc-extinguishing grid structure collectively produce a resultant inwardly-directed jet force, which substantially counterbalances the outwardly-directed magnetic and mechanical forces resulting from the U-shaped line-current flow passing through the circuit-interrupter.The angular separation, or angular divergence provided between the two horizontally-laterally-spaced venting ports of each arc-extinguishing grid-structure falls within the range of angular magnitude of 80.degree. to 160.degree.. A desirable divergence range is between 100.degree. and 140.degree., and preferably, the angular divergence is desirably 120 angular degrees.

    摘要： A circuit breaker of the minimum-oil type includes a chamber for quenching the arc drawn between a movable contact rod and a stationary contact as the two separate. To counteract and damp the acceleration effect produced on the movable contact rod within the quenching chamber as a result of gas pressure built up within the chamber due to arc action, a softly elastic annular damping member closely surrounds the movable contact rod and is deformed in a radially inward direction by the gas pressure to press against the movable contact rod and hence provide a braking action for the rod. The radially inward deformation of the elastic damping member is proportional to the gas pressure produced in the quenching chamber and hence provides a braking effect on the movable contact rod which desirably increases with an increase in gas pressure.

    摘要： The liquid-poor power circuit breaker has a vertical pole column composed of a metallic mechanism housing, a switching chamber above the housing, and a metallic switching head on top of the chamber. A circulatory system for quenching liquid includes a thin insulating tube between the switching head and the mechanism housing outside of the switching chamber. A slider coupled with the movable switch pin of the power breaker blocks the insulating tube when the switch pin is in the break position.
