In at least one embodiment of the invention, a contact system is provided which has a simple constructive design and allows for an especially reliable contact. For this purpose, at least one embodiment of the contact system includes a spring support, an actuating element, and a contact element. The contact element includes a spring area, supported on the spring support, for providing a jump function, an actuator area, actuated by the actuating element, for initiating the jump function, and a contacting area for simultaneously establishing electrical contact with the stationary contact pieces.

    摘要: Methods and systems for actuating a negative rate switch. A negative rate switch comprising a plunger and a resilient actuator thereof can be provided, wherein a highest plunger force occurs at a free position and a lowest plunger force occurs at a full over travel position. The negative rate switch can be configured such that when the resilient actuator provides resilient actuating force to overcome a free position force associated with the free position, the plunger moves without interruption through a total range of travel thereof and when the resilient actuating force drops slightly below a full over-travel plunger force associated with the full over travel position, the negative rate switch overcomes the resilient actuating force to return the plunger to the free position thereof without interruption.

    摘要: A constant load and constant contact force snap-action switch having a normally-closed movable operate contact on a flipper blade which has a compression strip that snaps through an S-curvature to a reverse buckled state to trip the operate contact open. The flipper blade is coupled through an insulating cap to the leaf spring mounted movable alarm contact to close the latter at the same time. A return spring biased reset lever resets the operate contacts on depression down a first amount, opens the operate contact without closing the alarm contacts on depression down a second amount for stop purposes, and trips the operate contacts open on lifting upwards for test purposes. On reset, lost motion in the coupling cap knocks the alarm contact open if welded. A selector is settable to select any of three functions for the reset lever, (1) reset-stop-test, (2) auto reset stop, or (3) reset test.

    摘要: An electrical switch, comprises a housing having spaced apart side walls each with a bearing recess which is located above spaced apart fixed contacts. An actuator is guided in the housing between the side walls and moves toward the fixed contacts to move first leg portions of substantially U-shape contact springs to flex these leg portions and pivot intermediate web portions which are pivotal in the bearing recesses and, thereafter, snap second leg portions into engagement with the fixed contacts. The arrangement may include two sets of spaced apart contact members between which the second leg portions of the leaf springs are movable and the first leg portions are preferably pivotally connected between depending feet of the actuating member. The second leg portions include curved recesses located below the feet which are similarly curved so that the feet engage into the recesses and move these leg portions before the second leg portions are snapped into a contact engagement with one or the other of the fixed contact members.
