摘要： A method for making a dynamoelectric machine conductor bar, compromises providing a plurality of bundled together spiraling strand conductors having surrounding insulation to define a substantially rectangular shape with the strand conductors and strand insulation defining an opposing conductor bar end portion having an electrically insulated gap between the strand insulation adjacent the bar end portion; and applying a filler material to fill the gap to electrically shield the conductor bar end portion and to a greater than 0.080 to about 1.5 inch continuous outer radius surface end portion. A dynamoelectric machine conductor bar comprises a plurality of bundled together spiraling strand conductors having surrounding insulation to define a substantially rectangular shape, with the strand conductors and strand insulation defining an opposing conductor bar end portion; an electrically non-insulated gap between the strand insulation adjacent the conductors at the bar end portion, and an applied filler material filling the gap to electrically shield the conductor bar end portion an applied filler material filling the gap to electrically shield the conductor bar end portion, wherein the filler material defines a greater than 0.080 to about 1.5 inch continuous outer radius surface end portion.

摘要： In a stator winding of an AC generator for a vehicle, a plurality of sets of first and second conductor segments are disposed in the slots of a stator and connected to form the stator winding. Each of the first conductor segments has a turn portion having a large radius of curvature disposed at an axial end of the stator core, and each of the second conductor segments has a turn portion having a small radius of curvature disposed at an axial end. The second conductor segments have stronger insulation coating than the first conductor segments to improve insulation performance.

摘要： A device for preventing bearing damage from currents through a three-phase motor is provided, including a shield for winding and copper wire within each stator slot of a motor. The shield includes an electrically conductive layer which is insulated from the winding and from the laminated stator core of the three-phase motor. 摘要： A bus cooling fan that operates without an external electrical power supply. The fan is positioned proximate two bus bars of a polyphase electrical system. The fan includes a rotor supporting fan blades and mounted on an axle. The axle is supported by cross-braces in a shroud surrounding the rotor. The shroud is open at the ends. The fan is fabricated of non-ferrous, non-conducting material with the exception of the rotor. The bent rods which interact with the electromagnetic field created by the current-carrying bus bars of the polyphase electrical system to make the rotor function as an induction motor when the fan is placed proximate two bus bars.

摘要： A rotary electric machine for a vehicle has a stator having a stator winding. The stator winding is made of a plurality of segments. The segments are partly accommodated in a plurality of slots and are arranged to form coil ends groups on both axial sides. The segments are insulated from the stator core by a sheet shaped insulator inserted only along an inner surface of the slot. The segments have bare segments having no insulating layer and covered segments having insulating layer thereon. The bare segments are arranged to surround the covered segments so that the bare segments are not adjacent to the other bare segments in the slots and the coil ends groups.
