摘要： Messages received through information delivery are classified by a message identification section. The thus-classified messages are stored into a specified folder by means of a folder management section and are managed for each level in a hierarchy. When a new message is stored into the specified folder, a folder setting section causes a paging control section to page the user by means of a speaker, a vibrator, or an LED or causes a display control section to display the arrival of a message on an LCD. So long as the folder is set to a shortcut folder, a desired information item can be read in a prioritized manner.

摘要： An IC mounting structure and a communication apparatus is provided in which the structure of a circuit substrate is improved, the positional relationship between an IC and an antenna member is optimized, and the influence of high-frequency noises from the active surface of the IC can be prevented. In a wrist-fitting communication apparatus, an IC which generates high-frequency noises is face-down bonded on a circuit substrate such that the active surface faces the side opposite to the direction where most of or the entire antenna member is positioned. The circuit substrate is a multilayer substrate in which a shielding electrode layer maintained at the ground potential or a power supply potential is formed. High-frequency noises generated from the active surface of the IC are reduced by the shielding electrode layer. Also, electromagnetic field leaking to the surroundings is weak. Accordingly, the influence of noise upon the antenna member is small.

摘要： An alert generating method for a radio paging receiver that performs the steps of generating a continuous alert signal having a predetermined alert frequency using a timer circuit disposed in a microcontroller of a radio paging receiver when self information of the radio paging receiver is detected from a received radio paging signal and generating an alert in response to the continuous alert signal. The step of generating a continuous alert signal further performs the steps of scaling a frequency of an input signal to a second predetermined frequency, setting the predetermined alert frequency, comparing the second predetermined frequency to the predetermined alert frequency and generating the continuous alert signal having the predetermined alert frequency, when the second predetermined frequency matches the predetermined alert frequency. The alert generating device for use in a radio paging receiver comprises an antenna, a radio circuit for frequency-converting, demodulating, and waveform-shaping the received radio paging signal to generate digital data, a decoder for decoding the digital data, and a microcontroller having a timer circuit, the microcontroller analyzing the decoded data to determine if the decoded data includes self information of the radio paging receiver, and generating a continuous alert signal having a predetermined alert frequency using the timer circuit, when the decoded data includes the self information.
