Abstract: The disclosed technology includes gunfire response systems and methods to detect gunfire, turn off lights when gunfire is detected, disable the lights from being switched on, and notify emergency responders. Such systems can help minimize ensuing risk following a shooting event by limiting the vision of a person who produced the gunfire. In some embodiments, the light switch system comprises one or more sensors. In some specific embodiments, the sensors include a microphone, infrared sensor, and optionally a camera. In some specific embodiments, the system is configured to detect gunfire sound, detect a type of gun that produced gunfire, and count of a number of shots of the gunfire.

Abstract: A lamp holder device is provided. The lamp holder device includes a sector-shaped shell, an LED lamp plate, a motor component, a light reflecting component, a camera shooting component, an infrared light compensating component, and a microprocessor. The motor component is embedded at a center position of the sector-shaped shell. The light reflecting component includes a circular part connected to a center position of the motor component and a long plate part, and the length of the long plate part is the same as a radius length of the sector-shaped shell. The microprocessor determines a rotation angle of the motor component based on the camera shooting component and the infrared light compensating component through an eye tracking technology, and controls the motor component to rotate to drive the light reflecting component to rotate so as to change an angle of light emission.

The system further includes a controller configured to determine a lighting scheme for the plurality of lights, the lighting scheme including a setting for the plurality of lights, the setting including one or more of turning the plurality of lights on or off, setting a color of the plurality of lights, and setting an intensity of the plurality of lights, determine a location in or associated with the VTOL vehicle, wherein the lighting scheme is configured to guide a person to the location, and transmit a signal to the one or more lights to execute the lighting scheme to guide the person to the determined location.

Abstract: Monitoring systems and methods are disclosed. The systems include a sensor device having a single-pixel thermopile (SPT) sensor and a controller in communication with the sensor device. The controller is configured to determine or obtain training data for detecting first and second configurations of one or more occupants in the space; receive a temperature signal from the SPT sensor; detect a step change in the temperature signal; determine first and second probabilities for at least one feature of a shape or pattern of the temperature signal, the first and second probabilities corresponding to the first and second configurations of the one or more occupants in the space based on the training data, respectively; and identify a class label for the temperature signal based on the determined first and second probabilities. The class label corresponds with the first or second configurations of the one or more occupants in the space.

Abstract: A color temperature switching scheme for an LED lighting device is disclosed. The color temperature switching scheme comprises a plurality of different color temperature performances correspondingly generated by a plurality of different paired combinations of a first electric power allocated to a first LED load emitting a light with a first color temperature and a second electric power allocated to a second LED load emitting a light with a second color temperature such that a mingled color temperature between the first color temperature and the second color temperature can be generated thru a light diffuser. For tuning the mingled color temperature of the LED lighting device a reverse yet complementary power adjustment process for distributing a total electric power T between the first LED circuit and the second LED circuit is required such that a total light intensity remains unchanged while the mingled color temperature is being adjusted.
