摘要: Disclosed are a process and an apparatus for improving tobacco raw material. The process mainly comprises performing an extraction from at least one of tobacco leafs, tobacco flakes, tobacco powder, stalks and cut stems by mixed solvents, conducting a solid-liquid separation for the tobacco raw material, applying the extract liquor of tobacco leaves, flakes and cuts for manufacturing tobacco extract and that of stalks and cut stems for manufacturing fertilizer, diluting and mixing a given amount of tobacco aqueous extract and ethanol extract and removing harmful components so as to get feed liquid, backfilling the feed liquid to the tobacco raw material, and drying the tobacco raw material to a certain dryness to obtain the products. The apparatus is a system composed of a plurality of interconnected independent devices such as extractor, solid-liquid separator, a feed liquid backfiller, etc.

摘要: A tobacco material and a process for the treatment of tobacco are provided. The process comprises securing the tobacco within a moisture-retaining material and exposing the tobacco material to an ambient processing temperature of at least about 45° C., with the tobacco having a packing density of at least 200 kg/m3 on a dry matter weight base at the start of the process and a moisture content of between about 10% and 23%. The TSNA content of the tobacco material is maintained at a relatively constant level during the process.

摘要: A flue-curing apparatus and a related method are provided. The flue-curing apparatus includes a circulation chamber and a curing chamber that are separated by a divider wall. An air circulation system includes a blower positioned in the circulation chamber that directs air to a heater device and a lower passage into the curing chamber. The air may be received from one or both of an inlet and an upper passage extending from the curing chamber to the circulation chamber. A humidity control system humidifies the air directed into the curing chamber. A controller may receive signals from wet and dry bulb thermometers to determine the conditions in the curing chamber and the condition of tobacco leaves being cured therein. The controller may adjust various operational parameters to cause the tobacco leaves in the curing chamber to cure at a desired rate.

摘要: A method of manufacturing standardized cannabis cigarettes that may comprise drying harvested cannabis plants at room temperature with a humidity of between approximately 45% and 75%; plant material, including at least one of stems and seeds, may be removed to produce a refined cannabis. The method may further include chopping the refined cannabis into cannabis particles with a median value of particle area between approximately 1.5 mm2 and approximately 4.5 mm2. The cannabis particles may be homogenized to produce a blended cannabis. One or more cannabis contact points of a commercial cigarette rolling machine may then be lubricated to preventing the adherence of cannabis resin to the cannabis contact points. The method may further include packing the blended cannabis into a paper rolling tube at a packing pressure of approximately 40 psi to approximately 120 psi to form the standardized cannabis cigarette assuring the controlled delivery of cannabinoids during combustion.

Furthermore, the invention relates to a vaporization unit for introducing water vapor into the flow of process gas in a tobacco dryer which includes a through-flow tank in which water introduced via a number of spray jets is completely vaporized, in contact with the process gas, and to a method for conditioning process gas for a tobacco dryer, in particular a flow dryer, wherein vapor is added to the process gas by introducing and vaporizing water, the water in the flow of process gas being vaporized in an vaporization unit before the tobacco dryer and before the tobacco is introduced into the process gas.

摘要: An apparatus for carrying out a method of controlling the moisture of tobacco material comprises a hollow rotating cylinder (6) having an inlet (4) and an outlet (8) for tobacco material, and a feeding device for supplying a moist air flow into the rotating cylinder (6) such that the moist air flow runs out from the inlet (4) toward the outlet (8) within the rotating cylinder (6). 摘要: A shower of tobacco particles is admitted into the inlet at the top of and descends by gravity and/or under the action of a driven cell wheel in a generally upright duct. The particles are moisturized prior to admission into the duct or due to contact with droplets of water in the inlet, and are thereupon caused to traverse an orbiting shower of steam, water and/or another conditioning medium in an intermediate portion of their path in the duct. Such treatment entails a swelling and thus increases the volume of the particles. The conditioning medium is discharged via orifices radially outwardly from at least one substantially horizontal conduit which is rotated about its axis and can be provided with external pins or analogous mechanical impellers serving to cause the particles of tobacco to orbit about the conduit prior to descending into the range of a dryer at a level below the intermediate portion of the path, e.g., at the outlet of the duct.

摘要: Methods of reducing the content of and preventing formation of carcinogenic nitrosamines in harvested leafy plants such as tobacco and marijuana, are disclosed. The methods are directed to subjecting the plant to microwave radiation, at appropriate times in the cure cycle. With tobacco, products suitable for human consumption, such as cigarettes, cigars, etc., can be made in accordance with the present invention, having contents of tobacco-specific nitrosamines on a par with fresh-cut, green tobacco. In preferred embodiments, the resultant tobacco products are dried, golden-yellow leaves having almost negligible amounts of the known carcinogens NNN and NNK, in comparison to conventionally cured tobacco.

摘要: After several drying cycles in a pneumatically conveying tobacco drying apparatus, the interior of the drying apparatus becomes built-up with tobacco including casings and other additives thereby causing decreased flow of air entrained with tobacco as well as potential contamination with tobacco pieces from previously dried tobacco. Cleaning of the built-up materials is accomplished by recirculating superheated air through the tobacco drying apparatus. The air is heated to a preselected high temperature of at least 430.degree. F. at a rate, generally not to exceed 4.degree. F. per minute and circulated through the drying apparatus for a predetermined period of time. During heating and recirculating air at the preselected temperature, the tobacco materials built up on the drying apparatus are cooked and removed by continual purging with the recirculating air.
