摘要: Apparatus and methods for occluding hollow body structures, such as blood vessels, and for attaching tissue layers together by providing implantable elements on opposite sides of the structure or tissue layers and drawing the implants together to occlude the body structure and/or bring the tissue layers together. The implants are deliverable in a low-profile configuration and self-expand to an enlarged configuration. The implantable elements are delivered by transfixing the body structure, then releasing the implants on opposite sides of the body structure and drawing the implants together to effect an occlusion or attachment. The implants are configured to apply oppositely directed forces to opposite surfaces of the tissue layers at alternate, circumferentially spaced locations and may constrain the tissue in a serpentine pattern or in a direct clamping pattern. The implants grip the tissue in a manner that defines a pressure zone about the transfixion aperture that prevents leakage from the aperture. The implants have a low profile in that they have a relatively short axial dimension relative to their deployed diameter.

摘要: A method of compressing tissue during a surgical procedure is disclosed. The method comprises obtaining a surgical instrument comprising an end effector, wherein the end effector comprises a first jaw and a second jaw, establishing a communication pathway between the surgical instrument and a surgical hub, and inserting the surgical instrument into a surgical site. The method further comprises compressing tissue between the first jaw and the second jaw, determining a location of the compressed tissue with respect to at least one of the first jaw and the second jaw, communicating the determined location of the compressed tissue to the surgical hub, and displaying the determined location of the compressed tissue on a visual feedback device.

摘要: An endoscopic clip apparatus includes a clip sleeve defining an interior passage along a longitudinal axis and having a distal end with a plurality of openings defined in the distal end. A clip including a plurality of arms is disposed in the clip sleeve, and each arm includes a distal tip extending from the clip sleeve through one of the plurality of openings. Each arm includes a convex curved section oriented away from the longitudinal axis. The clip sleeve and clip are axially moveable relative to each other such that when the clip sleeve travels over the convex curved section of each arm toward the distal tip of each arm, each arm is constrained by the clip sleeve and each distal tip advances toward the longitudinal axis to grasp tissue.

摘要: A clipping system includes an adapter and a clip. The adapter is mounted over a distal end of an insertion device to a distal end and has a first annular groove formed in a distal face of the adapter. The clip has a body; a central body having a coupling portion and a ring; and jaws having outer arms coupled to the body at an outer arm proximal end and inner arms disposed radially inward of the outer arms and coupled to the ring at an inner arm proximal end. The body includes an annular protrusion extending proximally from a proximal surface of the body. The protrusion is inserted into the first groove of the adapter to couple the clip to the adapter. Movement of the central body along an axis of the clip causes movement of the jaws between an insertion configuration and a deployment configuration.

摘要: A clipping system includes a pusher element, a holder mounted over an insertion device and clips stacked along a length of the holder. The holder includes a longitudinally channel.
Each clip extends along a curvature defining a tissue-receiving space therewithin and extends about the holder with an exterior surface of the holder holding the clip open with the first and second ends of the clip separated from one another to receive a tissue therein. Each clip is independently deployable from the holder so that, upon release of the clip from the holder, the clip reverts to a closed configuration. In the closed configuration, the first and second ends are moved toward one another to reduce a size of the tissue-receiving space so that tissue is gripped therewithin. The element is mounted over the holder and moved distally along the holder to independently deploy each clips.-
