The body defines a first passageway that extends between the output and interface ports. The input port defines a second passageway that is in fluid communication with the first passageway.     摘要: In a power-operated chuck (1) with radially adjustable clamping jaws (5) that are attached so as to swivel and be axially adjustable on an articulation lever arranged in a chuck body (2), each of the articulation levers (10) is pivotably mounted on an articulation pin (21) that passes through the articulation levers (10) and the articulation pins (21) are supported in the chuck body (2) so as to prevent rotation and are guided to permit limited axial movement.This embodiment makes it possible not only to carry out precise clampings of workpieces (W) over a long period with a consistently high level of rigidity, but also to avoid wear to a large extent. As a result, workpieces can always be clamped precisely whilst a high level of repeat accuracy is provided.

    摘要: A clamping apparatus comprises a chuck member and a collet member that includes, at its rear side, a peripheral shoulder. The top side of this shoulder is provided with a thrust surface adapted to engage radially displaceable clamping balls of the chuck member. The bottom side of the shoulder is provided with four centering grooves that cooperate with four centering cams provided in the chuck member. Upon clamping the collet member to the chuck member, the collet member is positioned in X- and Y-directions as well as regarding the angular orientation around the Z-axis by means of the centering cams of the chuck member engaging the centering grooves of the collet member. The collet member is provided with an annular rear surface adapted to rest on Z-reference surface portions of the chuck member upon clamping the collet member to the chuck member.

    摘要: A jaw carrier arrangement is provided with a main jaw carrier which removably mounts a top jaw. The jaw carrier has a bore opening outwardly through a front face for receiving a rear support post provided on the top jaw. A clamping structure is provided on the jaw carrier to securely and rigidly hold the top jaw in snug engagement with the front face. The clamping arrangement includes radially inner and outer clamping members having opposed riblike wedges which project inwardly toward the post for engagement within wedgelike grooves which are formed on diametrically opposite sides of the post and extend perpendicularly thereacross. The inner and outer clamping members are controlled by rotation of a threaded spindle which causes simultaneous movement of the clamping members in opposite directions, whereby the clamping members move inwardly so that the ribs engage the grooves on opposite sides of the post to securely clamp the post therebetween, and at the same time effect a snug drawing in of the post and of the top jaw against the front face of the chuck.

    摘要: A precision chuck has a chuck body, top jaws movable radially with respect to a center axis for gripping and releasing a workpiece, master jaws slidably mounted in recesses in the chuck body for radial movement with respect to the center axis and fixedly connected to the respective top jaws, jaw actuators movable linearly parallel to the center axis having inclined cam surfaces slidingly engaged with corresponding surfaces on the master jaws, and an air-operated piston or power bar for moving the jaw actuators. Each of the jaw actuators is positioned at the middle of a respective master jaw and has a pair of spaced-apart actuator leaves engaging opposite sides of the width of the master jaw, thereby applying a balanced driving force to the master jaw without torquing. Further, an improved mounting employing a combination of threaded screw and concentric tubular pin is used to connect the top jaw to the master jaw. Particularly for small-diameter chucks where the mounting area on the master jaw is restricted, the improved mounting takes up a minimum of space so as to allow two screw/pin combinations to be used. The tubular pin can have collet-like slits at an upper part thereof to adjust for any misalignment during jaw assembly.
