摘要: A printer has a tractor unit with a simple configuration that can prevent the feed holes in continuous paper from disengaging the engagement pins of the tractor unit during conveyance. The tractor unit of the printer has a pair of tractors that hold the continuous paper with tractor pins (engagement pins) engaged in sprocket holes (feed holes), a drive shaft and a support shaft that support the pair of tractors, and a frame that supports the drive shaft and support shaft. The first tractor is fixed in position to the support shaft after engaging and holding one side of the continuous paper, but the support shaft is supported on the frame movably widthwise to the printer. If the continuous paper becomes skewed, the first tractor moves with the support shaft widthwise to the printer following the skew, and the sprocket holes therefore do not disengage the tractor pins.

摘要: A printing apparatus that enables transmission of information between its main body and a predetermined information processing apparatus includes first and second print media supplying sections, a paper feeding unit, first and second sensors, a storage section, a determining section and a communication section. The second print media supply section stacks print media of a different size from that of the first print media supplying section. The second print media supplying section is removably installed in the first print media supplying section. The paper feeding unit is commonly used for supplying the print media stacked on both the first and section print media supplying sections. The first sensor determines whether or not the second print media supplying section is installed and the second sensor determines whether or not the second print media supplying section can supply the print media. The storage section stores media information of the print media stacked in the first and second print supplying sections. The determining section determines the print media which can be supplied in accordance with outputs of the first and second sensors. The communication section transmits the media information to the information processing apparatus after having read the media information out of the storage section, the media information corresponding to the print media determined by the determining section.

摘要: A second frame 12 is arranged at a predetermined position with respect to a drive sprocket 15 engaged with a drive shaft DS through a substantially true-circular hole shape drive bearing bore 14, and a transferring belt 25 is supported by a belt guide 18 integrally incorporated with the second frame 12 under a suitable tension while a predetermined positional relationship is maintained between the transferring belt 25 and the drive sprocket 15. If the inter shaft distance T between the drive shaft DS and a positioning shaft SS varies due to any reason, the variation in the inter shaft distance T between both shafts DS, SS is allowed by clearances of an elongated hole shape positioning bearing bore 20 formed in the second frame 12 and an elongated hole shape drive bearing bore 13 formed in a first frame 11, and accordingly, the transferring belt 25 is maintained always under a satisfactory predetermined tension with no variation in the tension of the transferring belt 25, thereby it is possible to enhance the accuracy of paper feed operation and printing operation and to enhance the reliability of the sheet feed tractor with a convenient structure.

摘要: A print head is supported on an upper frame of a printing device and a platen and a feeding device are supported on a lower frame. Further, a circuit substrate, a print head moving motor, and a feeding device driving motor are also supported on the upper frame. The upper and the lower frame are connected by a connection member around a rotating axis which is substantially orthogonal to the feeding direction of the print medium. The rotating axis is near a side of the platen in order to easily open and shut the upper frame. When a lock arm is released, the upper frame is pushed up by only a small angle through operation of a pre-open lever and is held in a pre-open position. When upper frame is further opened in an opening direction, the upper frame is held in a fully open position by the operation of an open lock lever. When in the fully open state, the exchange of print paper and/or the removal of the jammed paper can be done easily and safely.

摘要: A device for the transport of multilayer, edge-perforated imprint-receiving substrates (8) takes into consideration a curve-shaped transport path (9), wherein a thrust tractor pair (5) is disposed in front and ahead of a substrate support (2), as seen in transport direction (10). Several friction roller pairs are following to the thrust tractor pair (5). In each case, a pulling force is transferrable by way of at least one friction roller. The multilayer imprint-receiving substrate (8) rests with its rear layer (8a) on the substrate support (2). A tearing of the edge perforations of the imprint-receiving substrate (8) as well as belly and bulge formations of one of the two layers (8a, 8b) is avoided by furnishing the push tractor (5) with a braking element (19) for the front layer (8b). A following first friction roller pair (11) rests with a driven friction roller (11a) at the front layer (8b). This friction roller (11a) performs a slightly smaller motion path per time unit relative to the counter friction roller (11b). However, the counter friction roller (11b), resting at the rear layer (8a), performs a slightly larger motion path relative to the tractor advance path.
