    摘要: A log lifting device for raising a log into a cutting position includes a cylinder, a handle, and a wedge. The handle is coupled to and extends from the cylinder equally distant from opposing ends of the cylinder. The wedge is coupled to and extends from the cylinder proximate to the handle. The wedge is substantially perpendicular to the handle. The wedge is configured to be positioned beneath a felled log, positioning a user to grasp and pull on the handle to rotate the cylinder to apply a lifting force to the log so that the log is supported upon the handle above a surface. The log thus is positioned to be safely cut by the user using a chain saw, or other log cutting implement.

    摘要: There is provided herein a lifting and inversion bar especially configured for repositioning cable spools which typically comprise fragile end stop annuli. The present cable spool lifting and inversion bar is configured for repositioning a cable spool comprising a length and radius between horizontal (that is wherein the axis of the cable spool is horizontal) and vertical (that is wherein the axis of the cable spools vertical) orientations. The inversion bar comprises a straight frame and an orthogonal shaft bisecting the frame into long and short ends. Furthermore, for the vertical orientation, the spool is able to freely rests atop the frame without additional support which negates the requirement for horizontal spacers as does the prior art. In this way, the spool may be conveniently lifted from the inversion by using a forklift, a convenient procedure not made possible by the prior art arrangements.

    摘要: A rolling mill coil handling system includes a downender for rotating a coil between a vertical position supported on a pallet, and a horizontal position suspended from a hollow stem projecting from the pallet. A hook carrier system includes a C-shaped hook with a horizontally projecting arm. The hook is manipulated by carrier system components to axially insert its arm into the stem, then to raise the arm through a slot in the stem and into contact with the coil, thereby raising the coil to a level at which it is no longer in contact with the stem, and then to axially withdraw the coil from the stem.

    摘要: A wheel lifter and tipper includes a hook end with a plurality of notches that are each configured for different wheel manipulations and/or for different types of wheels. Each of the plurality of notches is configured to tip wheels into an upright position without deflating or breaking a bead of a tire of the wheel. The device further includes a u-shaped bend configured to support a wheel during a wheel loading manipulation, and a pad end rotationally mounted to a body of the device. During the loading manipulation, the pad end remains stationary and acts as a fulcrum and the body with the u-shaped bend acts as a lever arm. The device is passed through a center of the wheel, and the lever arm is raised or lowered in order to raise or lower the wheel to or from a raised surface, respectively.
