摘要: A method for making cyclopentadiene fuels comprising producing cyclopent-2-en-1-one or a mixture of cyclopent-2-en-1-one from a bio-based source. The cyclopent-2-en-1-one or the mixture of cyclopent-2-en-1-one is hydrogenated, thereby forming cyclopent-2-en-1-ol or a mixture of cyclopent-2-en-1-ol. The cyclopent-2-en-1-ol or the mixture of cyclopent-2-en-1-ol is dehydrated with a dehydrating agent, thereby forming cyclopentadiene or a mixture of cyclopentadiene. The cyclopentadiene or mixture of cyclopentadiene is converted to dicyclopentadiene or dihydrodicyclopentadiene. The dicyclopentadiene or dihydrodicyclopentadiene is hydrogenated, thereby forming tetrahydrodicyclopentadiene. The tetrahydrodicyclopentadiene is isomerized, thereby forming exo-tetrahydrodicyclopentadiene.

摘要: The present invention relates to the technical field of chiral synthesis, and specifically provides a new type of oxa-spirodiphosphine ligands. The bisphosphine ligand is prepared with oxa-spirobisphenol as a starting material after triflation, palladium catalyzed coupling with diaryl phosphine oxide, reduction of trichlorosilane, further palladium catalyzed coupling with diaryl phosphine oxide, and further reduction of trichlorosilane. The oxa-spiro compound has central chirality, and thus includes L-oxa-spirodiphosphine ligand and R-oxa-spirodiphosphine ligand. The racemic spirodiphosphine ligand is capable of being synthesized from racemic oxa-spirobisphenol as a raw material. The present invention can be used as a chiral ligand in the asymmetric hydrogenation of unsaturated carboxylic adds. The complex of the ligand with ruthenium can achieve an enantioselectivity of greater than 99% in the asymmetric hydrogenation of methyl-cinnamic acid.

The method for preparing 1,3-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid may include: reducing isophthalic acid in the presence of a metal catalyst fixed to a silica support and containing a palladium (Pd) compound and a copper (Cu) compound in a weight ratio of 1:0.1 to 0.5.

摘要: The present invention generally relates to processes for converting acrylate esters or a derivative thereof to difluoropropionic acid or a derivative thereof. This process is generally performed using fluorine gas in a hydrofluorocarbon solvent. In particular, a process for fluorinating a double bond is disclosed. This process comprises forming a reaction mixture comprising a hydrofluorocarbon solvent, fluorine gas, and a compound of formula 1 wherein R1 is hydroxy, alkoxy, chloro, or —OC(O)CH═CH2 to form a compound of formula 2 in a yield of at least 50% wherein R2 is hydroxy, alkoxy, chloro, —OC(O)CHFCH2F, wherein the hydrofluorocarbon solvent comprises 2H,3H-decafluoropentane and the reaction mixture further comprises a fluorination agent.

摘要: Processes for manufacturing a purified aromatic carboxylic acid include oxidizing a substituted aromatic compound in a reaction zone to form a crude aromatic carboxylic acid and a gaseous stream; heating the crude aromatic carboxylic acid in a pre-heating zone, contacting the crude aromatic carboxylic acid with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst in a hydrogenation reactor to form a purified aromatic carboxylic acid, crystallizing the purified aromatic carboxylic acid in a crystallization zone to form a slurry stream comprising solid purified aromatic carboxylic acid and a vapor stream. At least a portion of the vapor stream is directed to the pre-heating zone and at least a portion of the vapor stream from the pre-heating zone is vented to the off-gas treatment zone in order to achieve energy savings.
