摘要: A process to perform a controlled exothermic delignification of biomass comprises providing a system having a first vessel and a second vessel, providing a biomass comprising lignin, hemicellulose and cellulose fibers placed into the first vessel, providing an aqueous acidic composition comprising a sulfuric acid component, providing a modifier component and providing a peroxide component. The biomass is exposed to the sulfuric acid component and peroxide component, thereby creating a reaction mass. The reaction mass is mixed and the sulfuric acid, modifier and peroxide components are allowed to come into contact with the biomass for a period of time sufficient for a delignification reaction to occur and to remove a predetermined amount of the lignin from the biomass. The predetermined amount is assessed by testing a first kappa number of the biomass. When the first kappa number of the biomass is reached, the biomass is transferred to the second vessel.

摘要: The present invention provides a method for non-catalytic delignification of biomass, without externally added catalyst, with a mixed solvent of oxygenated organic solvent and water in the presence of an oxidant, at moderate temperature and pressure. Further, the separation of delignified cellulose from liquid mixture is carried out at around equivalent process conditions. Low modified kappa number delignified cellulose is obtained after separation of a liquid mixture containing a mixed solvent, hemicelluloses, lignin and traces of miscellaneous compounds. Furthermore, the method has lower chemical consumption in the downstream process, ease of operation and robustness.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of producing holocellulose fibres by treating a wood-based raw material with an organic peroxide, wherein the method comprises charging the organic peroxide continuously to the wood-based raw material during the treatment and/or charging the organic peroxide to the wood-based raw material in at least two separate steps with an intermediate alkaline treatment step. Additionally, a process for the production of paper comprising the steps of preparing a papermaking stock comprising an aqueous pulp slurry comprising cellulosic fibres and having a fibre consistency of from 0.1 to 40% by weight, wherein the cellulosic fibres comprise or consist of holocellulose fibres, and wherein the amount of the wood-based holocellulose fibres is from 0.5 to 100% by weight, based on the total weight of the stock; providing the stock to a wire and form a web; dewatering the web; and drying the web is claimed. By the method affordable way to produce holocellulose fibres usable in the process to provide paper with high strength is provided, while effective dewatering can be obtained during the manufacturing process.
