摘要: An enclosure system may be formed of a lightweight panel with a thin non-porous membrane that enables the extraction and leak detection of hazardous gases from housing equipment such as vacuum pumps, valves, abatement equipment and the like. Additionally, the enclosure system includes a one or multiple layers of wire mesh which prevent projectiles with a high kinetic energy from escaping from the housing equipment thereby minimising the risk of an explosion causing parts or panels to be ejected from the enclosure system.

摘要: A dielectric apparatus applied to building components is disclosed for switching the working frequency of the radio signal passing through the building components and increasing the radio signal's transmittance and the transmission bandwidth. The dielectric apparatus includes a structure body, a filler, and a positioning component. The structure body is made of dielectric materials and includes a chamber. Based on different operating frequencies, the chamber may be filled with the filler made by corresponding dielectric materials to change the operating frequency. The range of the dielectric constant value of the materials used in the structure body and the material for filling the chamber is greater than 1 and less than 200000. The positioning component couples the structure body to a building component to form a composite structure to realize the passage of the specific radio frequency signals and to achieve the effect of enhancing the transmittance.

摘要: A modular safety shelter provides protection from fragment, overpressure, radiation, and toxic hazards through a combination of physical design of modular segments, of joint seals between modular segments, of door assemblies, and of HVAC control systems. The modular shelter is formed of two or more prefabricated concrete modular segments each including a built-in foundation, roof, and side walls, and a prefabricated concrete vestibule segment providing an airlock-like access to the shelter. The prefabricated modular segments and vestibule segment are transported to a site and assembled to each other on-site to provide a fully enclosed space within the modular shelter. A multi-layer joint seal is formed between adjacent modular segments to prevent ingress of toxic, flammable, or thermal hazards. An integrated HVAC controller monitors toxic or flammable hazards outside and inside of the shelter, and controls HVAC systems to minimize spread of contaminants upon detecting a hazard.

摘要: Materials (e.g., plant biomass, animal biomass, and municipal waste biomass) are processed to produce useful intermediates and products, such as energy, fuels, foods or materials. For example, systems equipment, and methods are described that can be used to treat feedstock materials, such as cellulosic and/or lignocellulosic materials, using an array of vaults.

摘要: An apparatus for protection of an elongated structural support from impact, the apparatus includes an elongated impact protection component in the form of a unitary part having an inner surface, an outer surface, and a plurality of orthogonally-oriented projections spaced along a length of the elongated impact protection component. The projections of the elongated impact protection component include integrally formed connectors for interlocking connection to other same type impact protection components.

摘要: A building monitoring computer system for monitoring building integrity may be provided. Various types of sensors may be embedded throughout or within certain portions of different types of building or construction material making up the building, such as within roofing, foundation, or structural materials. The sensors may be in wireless communication with a home controller. The sensors may be water, moisture, temperature, vibration, or other types of sensors, and may detect unexpected or abnormal conditions within the home. The sensors and/or home controller may transmit alerts to a mobile device of the home owner associated with the unexpected condition, and/or that remedial actions may be required to repair the home or mitigate further damage to the home. The sensor data may also be communicated to an insurance provider remote server to facilitate the insurance provider communicating insurance-related recommendations, updating insurance policies, or preparing insurance claims for review for home owners.

摘要: A sliding door system and method is used in an enclosure that defines an inner area shielded against a High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (“HEMP”). The HEMP shielded sliding door system includes an RF shielding door frame, an RF shielding door leaf mounted within an mechanical door leaf frame, a mechanical insertion and retraction assembly attached to both the mechanical door leaf frame and RF shielding door leaf and that operates to extend and retract the RF shielding door leaf into and out of the RF shielding door frame, a drive tube assembly operable to interact with and open and close mechanical door leaf frame (along with RF shielding door leaf) in a sliding motion, and a control assembly, including motor and an air regulator assembly. HEMP shielding air seals are activated when the RF shielding door leaf is inserted into the RF shielding door frame.

摘要: A soil stabilization system for a structure can include a stem wall and floor slab disposed within a perimeter of the stem wall. An aggregate base course (ABC) layer can be disposed within a perimeter of the stem wall and below the floor slab. A ventilation opening can extend to the ABC layer, and an air exhaust system can extend between the ABC layer and an exterior of the structure. A method of soil stabilization for a structure can include measuring a moisture content of an expansive soil below a structure, drawing dry air through the ABC layer and over a surface of an expansive soil. Moisture can be removed from the expansive soil into the dry air by evaporation to create moist air, and moist air can be evacuated at an exterior of the structure.
