摘要: An exemplary embodiment is an assistive device for enabling individuals with limited mobility to step up to a generally horizontal patient support apparatus having: a pair of foldable frames each having a generally U-shaped vertical side frame. Each of the frames has a plurality of horizontal support members and is coupled to one or more horizontal support bars that are located at a rear of the device. A plurality of foldable steps is coupled to the frames. A method of a patient/user using the device described above includes the acts of: unfolding a folded device (if folded); placing the device with a rear portion facing and against an examination table or bed. Having the patient/user grip a pair of grips and placing a first foot on a lower step. The patient then places a second foot on an upper step with the first foot remaining on the lower step while maintaining his/her hands on the grips. The patient then places the second foot on the second step, thus having both feet on the upper step and in a standing position while gripping the grips. The patient then turns around on the upper step to face away from the examination table or bed while still gripping the grips and moving to a sitting position on the examination table.

摘要: A double-sided step ladder is provided comprising a first frame having a plurality of spaced apart steps and a second frame having a plurality of spaced apart steps. The plurality of steps on the first frame includes a bottom step located at a first height relative to the base of the ladder with each successive step being spaced apart along the frame at various heights relative to the bottom step of the first frame. The plurality of steps on the second frame also includes a bottom step, the bottom step of the second frame being located at a second height relative to the base of the ladder with each successive step being spaced apart along the frame at various heights relative to the bottom step of the second ladder. The plurality of steps on the first frame and the second frame are located such that the heights of the plurality of steps on the first frame are staggered relative to the heights of the plurality of steps on the second frame.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a step stool, and particularly to a folding step stool including legs that fold between an opened, use position and a collapsed, folded position. The present disclosure also relates to a tray assembly that moves relative to the legs and is used for storing or holding articles associated with use of the step stool. The step stool includes a mechanism to coordinate the movement of the tray assembly and a step of the step stool when the step stool is moved between the opened and collapsed positions.

摘要: A device for supporting the lower ends of ladder stiles on unlevel ground comprises a flat flexible mat (7) having at one end a ramp portion (1). In use, one stile rests on the flat mat and the other rests, at an appropriate height on the ramp portion, which faces the wall against which the ladder leans.

摘要: In a stepladder, with two legs which are connected with each other swingably around an axis in the region of an upper end of the legs, at least one of the legs has transverse support members which are supported by a first pair of stiles, and arranged spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction of the first pair of stiles to form the treads, said transverse support members being developed as board-shaped threads which, when the legs are spread apart a predetermined maximum distance, the standing surface of the transverse support members is horizontal and lies in horizontal planes, the treads being connected swingably about axes parallel to each other, to the first pair of stiles and to respective link members which are parallel to the first pair of stiles whereby a mutual supporting relationship between the first pair of stiles and the link members upon a predetermined maximum spread of the legs so as to increase the resistance to bending of the first pair of stiles and limit the swingability of the treads around their axis in a first direction of swing, the treads projecting beyond one side edge of the first pair of stiles facing away from the other leg such that stepping upon the treads causes a moment of rotation in a second direction which brings the link members toward the first pair of stiles.

摘要: An adjustable height self-leveling set of steps and landing, including a pair of trapezoidal shaped side frames having legs at each corner thereof. The four members making up the side frames are pivotally connected with the exception of one rigid joint between two of the members to prevent the side frame from collapsing. Each corner will self-level by shifting the shape of the side frame while the steps and landing remain substantially horizontal.

摘要: A step stool or ladder includes a latch that engages a cross member to prevent a step from disengaging from the cross member. The curved end of the latch has a tail that provides additional weight to the end of the latch that engages the cross member and allows for decreased tolerances in manufacturing the latch. The other end of the latch has a knob that extends through an opening in the step so that the latch is accessible and to give visual cues to the user. The knob also maintains the latch in its position in the opening in the step. A bent out portion of the latch midsection serves to limit the amount of travel between the knob and the bent portion. The latch rotates on the portion of the latch between the bent portion and travel limiter and the knob attached to the latch.

摘要: An air conditioning crane boom assembly having a number of mounting feet that removably secure the assembly to the rungs of a stepladder. Braces extend from these feet to a boom that extends horizontally away from the rungs of the stepladder. A pulley or a winch may be attached to the base of the boom, near the rungs of the stepladder, and the boom extends away from the stepladder to facilitate safe and stable lifting of loads such as air-conditioner components.
