    摘要: A pipe coupling includes two or more partially annular clamp housings, each of which includes two opposing clamp members and one or more tightening elements for tightening the clamp members towards each other in a direction transverse to an axial length of the annular clamp housings. An elastomeric seal assembly is located in seal housings at opposite axial ends of a cylindrical shell. Tightening the clamp members towards each other causes the elastomeric seal assembly to apply a radially-inward clamping force on a pipe or pipes clamped by the pipe coupling. Radial force grippers are spaced about a circumference of each of the annular clamp housings. Radially-inward forces of the radial force grippers create axially-directed forces on the pipe or pipes clamped by the pipe coupling.

The socket portion has an annular groove disposed adjacent the partially spherical interior surface. A ball pipe section includes a ball segment received in the socket portion of the casing and a second pipe segment extending from the ball segment. A seal assembly is received in the annular groove of the casing and is disposed against the ball segment of the ball pipe section. The seal assembly includes a plurality of nested seal rings that each include a concave face and a convex face.

    摘要: High-pressure cryogenic fluid conduits that deliver high-pressure cryogenic fluids from a first point to a second point. This high-pressure fluid conduit has a safety feature that is activated when the high-pressure cryogenic fluid conduit fails due to exposure to a predetermined force. The safety feature is activated by the fracture of an annular ring that is positioned at either end of the high-pressure fluid conduit and is calibrated to fracture when exposed to the predetermined force. Fracture of the annular ring closes valves at each end of the high-pressure fluid conduit, thereby stopping the flow of high-pressure fluid from the high-pressure fluid source as well as the escape of high-pressure fluid from the high-pressure fluid container.

    摘要: In one example, a fitting assembly including a first fitting, a second fitting, and a seal positioned between the two fittings is disclosed. The first fitting includes a first product contacting sidewall and a first sealing face and the second fitting is coupled to the first fitting and includes a second product contacting sidewall and a second sealing face. The seal is positioned between the first and second sealing faces and includes a radially curved outer surface forming an exterior edge of the seal and a tail extending radially inwards from the radially curved outer surface, where the tail forms an interior edge of the seal that defines an opening through the seal. As connected, the first product contacting sidewall is substantially coplanar with the second product contacting sidewall and the seal seals a connection gap between the two sealing faces.

At least one of the first and second axial end surfaces has a stress concentration feature radially adjacent to a gasket sealing region, the sealing region constructed to be in contact with a face surface of a corresponding fluid conduit port. The stress concentration feature may be a groove or a plurality of cavities disposed adjacent the gasket axial end surface sealing region.
