    摘要: A natural gas system includes a process suction conduit, a compressor package configured to receive a flow of natural gas from the process suction conduit and to increase a pressure of the flow of natural gas whereby the flow of natural gas is discharged from the compressor package as a pressurized flow of natural gas, a process discharge conduit connected downstream of the compressor package, and an emissions management module coupled to the compressor package and configured to capture emissions from the compressor package, wherein the emissions management module includes a vapor recovery unit configured to circulate the captured emissions from the VRU along an emissions discharge conduit coupled to the VRU to at least one of the process suction conduit, a fuel gas system of the natural gas system, and a hydrocarbon processing component of the natural gas system that is separate from the compressor package.

    摘要: A natural gas compression heating process for regulating the operating temperature of the natural gas flowing through long pipelines in continuous permafrost and discontinuous permafrost regions. The heat obtained through compression of the natural gas, instead of actually heating as performed conventionally, is utilized to raise the temperature of the natural gas to only the desired operating temperature. Consequently, the locations of the natural gas compression heating process and compression stations along the pipeline in a permafrost region are determined by the flowing temperature profile of the pipeline instead of the conventional standard compression cost versus pipeline diameter analysis.

    摘要: Refrigeration is produced while delivering transmission pipeline gas of elevated pressure to a branch pipeline of lower pressure by expanding the gas in a turbo-expander to a pressure below the branch pipeline pressure and recovering refrigeration from the expanded gas which is then compressed by a centrifugal compressor directly driven by the turbo-expander to the pressure required for delivery into the branch pipeline. Preferably, the gas is dehydrated by adding methanol and separating aqueous methanol condensate from the expanded gas, and the condensate is distilled with compression heat to recover methanol for reuse.

    摘要: The gas compression system for a gas pipeline includes a reciprocating compressor arranged to compress the gas and a gas turbine engine arranged to drive the reciprocating compressor. The gas turbine engine has a turbine section with a high-pressure section and a low-pressure section, wherein only the low-pressure section is mechanically coupled through a mechanical connection to a reciprocating compressor arranged to compress the gas transported by the gas pipeline. The mechanical connection comprises a gearbox, an elastomeric coupling and a flywheel. The gas compression system is particularly suitable as a gas pipeline compression station using the gas transported by the gas pipeline as fuel. Advantageously, the gas turbine engine can reduce NOx formation during combustion by injecting diluent in the combustor, the diluent being advantageously demineralized water recovered from the inlet air of the gas turbine engine.
