    摘要: A device for continuously conditioning fed-out natural gas prior to feeding the same to supply lines leading to consumers has a mixing station for producing a burnable gas from natural gas and oxygen, a reactor container for a catalytic combustion of an introduced mixture of burnable gas and natural gas, at least one drying station that is connected downstream of an outlet of the reactor container, at least one separator, particularly for water, and at least one expansion fitting for reducing the pressure. The reactor container and separator chamber of the separator are disposed in an enclosed housing. The mixing chamber, into which a first feed line for fed-out cold natural gas opens, is disposed in the housing between the reactor container and the separator chamber.

    摘要: An energy recovery, pressure reducing system according to the present invention for reducing high pressure gas in a transmission pipeline to a lower pressure in a consumer pipeline includes a primary pressure regulator or regulating valve having an adjustable flow control opening, the pressure regulating valve being selectively connectable between the transmission and consumer pipelines for throttling the high pressure gas and producing low pressure gas when the primary pressure regulator or regulating valve connects the pipelines. A bypass line shunts the primary pressure regulator or regulating valve for connecting the pipelines when the primary pressure regulating valve is disconnected from the pipelines. The bypass line includes an expander system having at least one expander for expanding the high pressure gas in the gas transmission pipeline and producing work and lower pressure gas that is supplied to the consumer pipeline. Preferably, a generator is coupled to the expander for converting work produced by the pressure regulating of the high pressure gas in the expander to electricity which is supplied to an electrical load. A fast acting, selectively adjustable pressure regulator or regulating valve apparatus is connected in parallel with the expander system. Finally, a control system is provided, responsive to a reduction in flow through the expander system for rapidly switching the apparatus from a non-operational state in which no gas is transmitted between the transmission and the consumer pipelines, to an operational state in which high pressure gas is throttled to the lower pressure in the consumer pipeline and transmitted thereto.

    摘要: A fluid pressure reduction system includes at least two streams. A working stream includes valves with associated pressure sensors for modulating output pressure. A control system monitors pressure via a sensor and actuates a slam shut valve in the event of a fault. In the event that another stream is at fault the arrangement allows the slam shut valve to be opened. In the faulty stream only, pressure again rises, the slam shut is again shut and cannot be reopened until manually reset following fault clearance. Independent control in each stream assists in system integrity. All streams can close and reopen once. The second closure determines the faulty stream.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus (100) for reducing the pressure of a natural gas (2) at a wellhead of a natural gas field. The method provides prearranging an energy recovery expansion device (20), which comprises a stator and a rotor mechanically connected with a power generator (29), and a gas passageway between the rotor and the stator, and conveying the natural gas into the passageway of the energy recovery expansion device (24) to cause a rotation of the rotor and the expansion of the gas, the pressure being reduced from the extraction pressure (P1) to the use pressure (P2), which makes it possible to obtain an electric power (W) during the expansion, adapted to satisfy the energy requirements of the gas extraction unit, in particular of an offshore platform, without installing local electric generators. In order to allow a reliable operation of a recovery expansion device, such as a turbine, a means is provided for finely separating solid and liquid matter present in the gas, as well as a means (7) for conditioning the gas entering the expansion device, which may comprise a feeding means (12) of an additive into the gas (3), said additive adapted to decrease the formation temperature of the solid, and, in an advantageous way in case of higher amount of water, a means for heating the gas such that the temperature is maintained above the formation temperature of the solid.

A control system is provided which is responsive to flow through the expander system for controlling the size of the flow control opening and the state of the on/off valve.
