摘要: Non-imaging radiation collecting and concentrating devices, and assemblies, are disclosed. The non-imaging radiation collecting and concentrating devices comprise an entrance aperture for receiving incoming radiation, an exit aperture located opposite to the entrance aperture for outputting concentrated radiation, and one or more concaved reflectors arranged between the entrance and exit apertures. The concaved reflectors define an acceptance angle of the device relative to an optical axis thereof and configured such that their optical focuses are located between edges of the exit aperture and the optical axis, thereby substantially preventing escape of the incoming radiation received in the entrance aperture within the acceptance angle and providing substantial uniform radiation collection at the exit aperture of the device.

摘要: This invention presents a solar light collecting and guiding system for stabilizing the output light intensity, wherein the system comprising an array of converging lenses and optical fibers for collecting light focused by converging lenses. The fibers and the lenses are in one-to-one correspondence wherein the input end of an optical fiber is located in the focus position of the corresponding converging lens, and the axis of the optical fiber overlaps with the principal axis of the corresponding converging lens. The system is equipped with a sunlight tracking positioning device for synchronized motion, wherein the device is applied to tracking the sun light ray vertical incident into the central converging lens. The system has the function of outputting stable light intensity, that is, it can effectively reduce the variation of the collecting efficiency caused by the positioning deviation between the incident angle of sunlight and the designed input angle.

摘要: An optical device and systems using an optical device are provided, where the optical device may be configured for collimating incoming light rays. The optical device may include a host medium substantially comprised of a transparent material and an array of substantially transparent structures embedded within the host medium. The structures of the array each include a convex side presented to the incoming light rays and a concave side that passes light rays through toward the output face of the host medium, collimating the rays. Multiple stages of arrays may be provided in the optical device, typically with lengthening aspect ratios and increasing indexes of refraction in a direction from the input face toward the output face. The systems may use the optical device for using an exterior light to illuminate an interior space in a building or to generate power.
