摘要: Aspects of the disclosure provide systems and methods for controlling the flow of water through zones of an ancillary span of an irrigation system to achieve optimal water distribution for each of a plurality of sections of a field-of-interest to be irrigated by the ancillary span. The disclosed systems and methods optimally turn control zones on and off to minimize the flow variability of water supplied to the ancillary span. The technology described herein runs a series of simulations to determine an optimal irrigation plan for the ancillary span. The instantaneous average flow at different points within a simulation may be calculated. The plurality of instantaneous average flows are used to determine a variance statistic for the plurality, which is used to determine the optimal plan.

摘要: In a method for determining an area milled by at least one construction machine or at least one mining machine with a milling drum (2) working a predetermined area in several milling trajectories by at least one machine (1), determining the length of the milling trajectories along which a milling operation has taken place by evaluating the continuous machine positions, adding up the previously milled partial areas taking into account the length of the milling trajectory and the installed width of the milling drum (2), wherein the partial area currently milled along the milling trajectory is checked, either continuously or subsequently, for overlapping or multiple overlapping with any previously milled partial areas, and any partial areas which overlap are deducted, as overlapping areas, from the added-up previously milled partial areas, the total added-up partial areas milled minus the total overlapping areas established give the milled area.

摘要: A device (14) allows a door of a balance draft shield enclosure (12) to be activated by a carrier fork (4) of a robot (5). The vertically movable draft shield door (13) sets open an access opening in a raised position and closes the opening in a lowered position. A door-lifter with a force-application element (41) is connected to the draft shield door for application of an upward-directed vertical force. A transmitting mechanism (15), standing clear of the balance (11) includes a force-receiving element (20, 21, 26, 27) that is moved vertically by the carrier fork, between upper and lower end positions. It further includes at least one direction-reversing element (22, 23, 24, 25, 29), coupled to the force-receiving element for coupling to the force-application element, a return spring (28), and a spring-biased locking latch (30).

摘要: The invention is comprised of an assembly of hardware and software components for the purpose of measuring and drawing real life dimensions. With the present invention, an user defines a starting position in a spectrum of at least two coordinates. In a preferred embodiment all elements are integrated as one portable unit. The hardware elements comprise a point and click mechanism, whose operation is similar to a computer mouse, a display or viewing unit to act as a monitor, optional data input means, including but not limited to buttons and keys, and means to power the device. The software element is generally defined by an application that allows tracing, drawing, measuring, calculating and saving data from real life physical areas by the interaction of the point-and-click mechanism, in optional combination with the data input means. The task is executed by the extrapolation of real life dimensions by successively selecting and clicking on defining points, resulting on a scaled down drawing recorded on the device and displayed on the viewing screen. Complex shape areas arc calculated by segmenting them into regular geometrical shapes. Curvilinear and irregularly complex shapes are reticulated, so each reticle compartment's area is calculated and the entire shape area is calculated by the addition of all reticle's compartments for optimum precision and accuracy.

摘要: Systems and methods for computer-implemented determination of an estimated roof surface area are disclosed. In an embodiment of the invention, an aerial roof image is retrieved and displayed for a user. One or more of a plurality of stored roof templates are displayed with the aerial roof image. One of the roof templates may be selected so as to select a corresponding clear frame model to be overlayed on the aerial roof image. Nodes provided at vertices of the clear frame model may be aligned with corresponding vertices on the aerial roof image to change the dimensions of the clear frame roof model by dragging and dropping the nodes. One or more pitch values may be selected for association with the clear frame model. An estimated surface area of the roof is calculated and displayed based on the area of the resulting clear frame model and the one or more pitch values.

摘要: A system and method for identifying stands or portions thereof that are not growing as expected. In one embodiment, a computer system compares a measured leaf area index of a stand that is determined from remotely sensed data to an expected leaf area index. The computer system identifies stands or portions of stands where the measured leaf area index is greater than the expected leaf area index and/or stands or portions of stands where the measured leaf area index is less than the expected leaf area index. In one embodiment, the comparison is used to identify stands or portions thereof where silviculture treatments may be necessary. In another embodiment, measured vegetation index or leaf area index values are used to manage the growth of secondary crops in a stand. VI or leaf area index values are compared with expected values to determine if silviculture treatments should be applied.

摘要: A system and method are provided for scheduling the emptying or replacement of a waste container based on the fullness of the container or the usage of the container. These factors may be considered to determine when the waste container will become completely full. Additionally, the system and method may consider the customer preferences or the limitations of the waste hauler. All of these factors may be considered to determine an optimal time for the waste container to be emptied or replaced. These factors are also considered to determine when to accomplish the scheduling (i.e. when to notify the waste hauler that the waste container should be emptied or replaced at a given time).
