Abstract: Methods and systems autonomously parking and retrieving vehicles are disclosed. Available parking spaces or parking facilities may be identified, and the vehicle may be navigated to an available space from a drop-off location without passengers. Special-purpose sensors, GPS data, or wireless signal triangulation may be used to identify vehicles and available parking spots. Upon a user request or a prediction of upcoming user demand, the vehicle may be retrieved autonomously from a parking space. Other vehicles may be autonomously moved to facilitate parking or retrieval.

Abstract: Methods and systems for autonomous vehicle recharging or refueling are disclosed. Autonomous electric vehicles may be automatically recharged by routing the vehicles to available charging stations when not in operation, according to methods described herein. A charge level of the battery of an autonomous electric vehicle may be monitored until it reaches a recharging threshold, at which point an on-board computer may generate a predicted use profile for the vehicle. Based upon the predicted use profile, a time and location for the vehicle to recharge may be determined. In some embodiments, the vehicle may be controlled to automatically travel to a charging station, recharge the battery, and return to its starting location in order to recharge when not in use.

Abstract: An automated or semi-automated beer brewing system may adjust recipes using a computer interface. The computer interface may present different characteristics of a beer and may allow a user to adjust the characteristics of the resulting beer. In many cases, the characteristics of the final product may be changed while keeping the original ingredients and their measurements the same. Characteristics such as mouthfeel may be adjusted from thick to thin by adjusting a mashing schedule to change the alpha amylase extraction. In another example, a characteristic of dry to malty may be adjusted by changing the amount of simple sugars that may be extracted during the mashing phase. A computer interface may present the characteristics in an interactive form, such as a slider, where a user may adjust the recipe prior to use.

Abstract: To automatically streamline a vehicle claims process after a vehicle is damaged in a crash, crash information for the damaged vehicle may be compared to collision data to determine a total cost for repairing the damaged vehicle. A treatment facility for performing the repairs may be automatically selected from several treatment facilities, based on the capability of the treatment facility and whether the facility agrees to repair the vehicle for the determined cost. Once a treatment facility is automatically selected, the damaged vehicle may be transported to the selected treatment facility, and funds may be transmitted to the owner of the damaged vehicle to cover the cost of repair.

Abstract: The robot system includes a robot having an arm which is provided, on its tip, with two claws which are driven by a servo motor. According to this robot system, a relative position of the two claws is detected when the two claws apply a load of a predetermined force to a welded part welded to a workpiece. The deviation between the detected relative position and a predetermined reference relative position is calculated. The workpiece is determined to be of a good quality or poor quality by comparing the calculated deviation to a predetermined threshold value.
