摘要: A liquid level detecting apparatus of a tank for a vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a main detecting part that detects the liquid level of the liquid in a tank to output a liquid level detection signal corresponding to the liquid level and an auxiliary floater assembly that has an auxiliary floater provided to float on the liquid surface of the liquid in the tank. A gyro sensor is mounted to the auxiliary floater, and an angle detection signal corresponding to an inclined angle of the tank is output by the gyro sensor. A controller determines a final liquid level value by correcting a liquid level value obtained from the liquid level detection signal based on the angle detection signal.

摘要: A liquid level detection device is disposed in a container having a viscous liquid. The liquid level detection device includes an installing seat, a connecting rod, a pivoting structure connecting the installing seat and one end of the connecting rod, and a floating element disposed at one end of the connecting rod opposite to the installing seat. Further, the liquid level detection device includes a protecting bladder disposed to correspond to the pivoting structure. The protecting bladder divides the liquid level detection device into a coated part and an exposed part. One end of the floating element opposite to the installing seat is the exposed part. The protecting bladder isolates the viscous liquid from contacting with the pivoting structure to prevent excessive viscous liquid from remaining on the pivoting structure and avoid the problem of misoperation of the liquid level detection device caused by the influence of the protecting bladder.

摘要: A method of determining a status of a floating roof of a storage tank using a radar level gauge system arranged above the floating roof, the radar level gauge system being controllable to selectively evaluate reflected energy traveling towards the radar level gauge system in each propagation direction of a plurality of different propagation directions, the method comprising the steps of: radiating, by the radar level gauge system, an electromagnetic transmit signal towards the floating roof; receiving, by the radar level gauge system, an electromagnetic reflection signal resulting from reflection of the transmit signal at the floating roof; selectively evaluating, by the radar level gauge system based on the reflection signal, reflected energy traveling from the floating roof towards the radar level gauge system in each propagation direction of the plurality of different propagation directions; and determining the status of the floating roof based on the selective evaluation.

Systems also include pipelines and vessels having an internal surface therein comprising a Self-Assembled Monolayer of Phosphonate (SAMP) composition, and with hydrocarbon liquids present in the pipeline or vessel.

摘要: A method of compensating for an effect of temperature includes providing a set of magnetic sensors arranged along a sensing path. Each magnetic sensor is adapted to sense a magnetic field created by a magnetic actuator which can move along the sensing path and to provide a sensing signal indicative of a position and/or a displacement of the magnetic actuator relative to the sensing path. The method includes selecting one or more magnetic sensors from the set of magnetic sensors for use as temperature sensors, estimating a distribution of temperature over at least a portion of the sensing path based on the sensing signals output by the one or more magnetic sensors selected as temperature sensors, and compensating for the effect of temperature on the sensing signals output by one or more magnetic sensors of the set of magnetic sensors using the distribution of temperature that was estimated.

摘要: A fluid sensor system capable of sensing a fluid level or a volume of fluid held by a reservoir, such as a container or a tank. In one embodiment, the system may include a magnetic element in a flotation device that suspends the magnetic element in the fluid held by the reservoir, so that the magnetic element randomly floats in proximity to a top of the fluid surface. Two or more magnetic field sensors or magnetometers are associated with the reservoir in at least two different locations, spaced apart from one another. The system further includes a processor coupled to the sensors. The magnetic field sensors may sense the strength of the magnetic field around the magnetic element to generate signals that are sent to the processor. The processor may then determine the location of the magnetic element within the reservoir based on the signals. The determined location can be correlated to a volume of fluid within the tank which is output to another device and/or a user.

摘要: The present invention relates to a level indicator for determining the level of liquid in a container, the level indicator comprising: a floating device comprising a metal; a transmitter arranged to transmit an electromagnetic signal towards the floating device; and a receiver arranged to receive a response signal from the floating device. The floating device is moveable relative to the receiver so that a distance from the floating device to the receiver is altered in response to an altered level of liquid in the container, and wherein the electrical signal is a function of at least said distance. The receiver is electrically connectable to a control unit configurable to determine a position of the floating device relative to the receiver based on the electrical signal. The invention also relates to a system and a tank comprising the level indicator.
