摘要: A system including a tube and a force sensor coupled to a wall of the tube via a restraining element and configured to obtain a value of a tubing force when the tube is deformed by the restraining element. The system includes a processor to determine parameters for fitting a curve including the value of the tubing force, to determine a fluid pressure value for a fluid in the tube based on the parameters for fitting the curve, and to activate an alarm responsive to the fluid pressure value and to the parameters for fitting the curve when an occlusion condition is identified in the tube. The parameters for fitting the curve comprise at least one time-decaying parameter(s) associated to the tubing force. A method for using the system and a non-transitory computer readable medium including instructions to perform the above method are also provided.

摘要: A method for remotely measuring pressure of a fluid in a container includes determining a spatial location of first and second resonant radiofrequency antenna elements located on a radiofrequency identification (RFID) tag located in the container. The first antenna element is positioned in a fixed position on the RFID tag and the second antenna element is positioned on a deformable element configured to be deformed in at least one dimension based on pressure from the fluid. The spatial location is determined from a radar image generated based on reflected radiofrequency beams from a scan area and re-radiated radiofrequency beams from the first and second antenna elements located within the scan area. A pressure value is determined for the fluid based on the spatial location of the first and second antenna elements. Systems and methods of remotely measuring pressure using passive RFID tags are also disclosed.

摘要: A test fixture is provided for evaluating structural response of a sample to blast pressure from a muzzle of a gas gun. The fixture includes an adapter, an annular flange, a gauge assembly and a target assembly. The adapter has a proximal rim and an expansion tube. The rim attaches to the muzzle to direct the blast pressure into the tube towards an exit opposite the rim. The annular flange has a ring and a shim that attaches to the tube at the exit. The gauge assembly contains the sample between upstream and downstream stress gauges. The target assembly contains the gauge assembly. The target assembly includes front and rear annular plates connecting coaxially in parallel. The rear annular plate connects to the ring. The tube carries the blast pressure through the exit to strike the gauge assembly for the stress gauges to measure stress from the blast pressure. The ring includes first circumferentially distributed through-holes substantially parallel to the flange's symmetry axis and second circumferentially distributed mutually parallel through-holes angularly offset from the symmetry axis for mounting the rear plate to the ring either coaxially or at an oblique angle.

摘要: A pressure transducer comprising a flexible member made of amorphous quartz and a crystalline quartz sensor are coupled together without an adhesive material. Instead, the amorphous quartz and the crystalline quartz sensor are coupled together at the molecular level. In some embodiments, the crystalline quartz sensor remains in compression or tension during the entire operating range of the pressure transducer. In one embodiment, the crystalline quartz sensor is pre-stressed in either compression or tension when the pressure transducer is exposed to atmospheric pressure. In one embodiment, pressure transducer is located in pressure stabilizing system.

摘要: A catheter arrangement including a catheter having a proximal end and a distal end and at least one continuous fluid channel, at the proximal end of which a fluid connection and at the distal end of which a nozzle is arranged, which has a cross section that can be varied by a force applied to the distal catheter end; a liquid feed unit, connected to the proximal fluid connection of the catheter feeds liquid into the at least one fluid channel at a predetermined operating pressure. A flow sensor measures, during operation of the catheter arrangement, a pressure drop at the fluid channel. A pressure evaluation unit, connected on the input side in a signal-based manner to the flow sensor, determines a force applied to the distal end of the catheter from the measured pressure drop at the fluid channel and from predetermined deformation characteristics of the associated nozzle.

摘要: A manometer with a cadence indicator includes a housing and a gas pressure indicator interfaced to the housing. An input port of the housing is for connecting the manometer to a source of gas pressure, such that the gas pressure at the input port is reflected in the gas pressure indicator, providing a pressure reading. A cadence module is interfaced to the housing such that cadence is provided concurrently from the local of the gas pressure indicator. Cadence is provided by a flashing light or audible noise.
