    摘要: A safety switch useful for electric motor vehicles comprises a first electrical conductor, a second electrical conductor, a third electrical conductor and an actuator, wherein a gap is formed between the first conductor and the second electrical conductor, which gap can be bridged in an electrically conductive manner with the third electrical conductor by making contact with the first and second electrical conductors, wherein the third electrical conductor is arranged in a rest position from which the third electrical conductor can be brought by the actuator into the position bridging the gap, and wherein either the third electrical conductor consists at least partially of a porous material and/or at least one of the first and/or the second electrical conductor consists at least partially of a porous material and the porous material has a density of at least 80% of the theoretical density of the material.

    摘要: Disclosed herein are passive triggering mechanisms for activation of pyrotechnic features within electrical switching devices, such as contactor devices and fuse devices. The activation of the pyrotechnic features is configured to change the configuration of the internal components of the switching device and prevent current flow through the device. In some embodiments, the triggering mechanisms comprise features that respond to a magnetic field, such as a reed switch. In some embodiments, threshold strength of a magnetic field needed to trigger the passive triggering mechanism, which corresponds to a threshold level of current running through the switching devices indicating a dangerous overcurrent, can be adjusted based upon the distance between the passive triggering mechanism and a portion of the device such as a power terminal or feature connected to a power terminal.

    摘要: A system includes a mechanical switching device having a first moveable contact operatively connected to selectively contact a first static contact. A second moveable contact is operatively connected to selectively contact a second static contact that is electrically connected in parallel with the first static contact. The first and second moveable contacts are mechanically connected to each other to move between a closed circuit position and an open circuit position. The first moveable contact contacts the first static contact before the second moveable contact contacts the second static contact as the first and second moveable contacts move into the closed circuit position from the open circuit position. The first moveable contact disconnects from the first static contact after the second moveable contact disconnects from the second static contact as the first and second moveable contacts move from the closed circuit position into the open circuit position.
