    摘要: An electric compressed-gas circuit breaker is disclosed and has two stationary contact pieces. A switching unit is movable between closed and open positions for electrically bridging the contact pieces in the closed position and for electrically disconnecting the contact pieces in the open position. The switching unit includes a supporting body and electrical insulation made of elastic, yielding material is disposed at the supporting body. A slide-contact ring is carried by the supporting body and slideably contacts one of the contact pieces in the closed position. The slide-contact ring is made of arcresistant material and is tension-fixed in the electrical insulation. The insulation is disposed between the supporting body and the ring thereby insulating the ring from the body. The slide-contact ring is configured at least in part as a body of carbon material. A plurality of elongated contact elements are disposed in the supporting body for electrically connecting the contact pieces when the switching unit is in the closed position and are in electrically conductive contact with the slide-contact ring when the ring and the contact elements are separated from the one contact piece when the switching unit moves into the open position.

    摘要: A plurality of series-connected interrupters are connected in series and are mounted in a low-pressure tank. Pairs of the interrupters are mounted on a high-pressure tank filled with SF6 gas. Each individual interrupter contains its own blast valve, adjacent cooperating contacts and disposed radially interiorly of a main cooperating contact section, and radially exteriorly of an arcing contact section. Each of the individual interrupters further contain an upstream cutoff valve which cuts off the flow of high-pressure gas after an interruption operation. A time delay is provided for the operation of the cutoff valves.

    摘要: A high-voltage circuit-interrupter has a contact arrangement operating in compressed gas contained in a sealed vessel. The contact arrangement comprises a pair of spaced aligned tubular fixed contacts respectively connected to the terminals of the interrupter, and a pair of separable rooting electrodes mounted within the tubular fixed contacts and electrically connected respectively to them. A tubular bridging contact sleeve is slidably mounted on the tubular bridging contacts and is movable between a closed position bridging the spaced ends of the tubular contacts and an open position withdrawn from one of them to open a gap therebetween. The circuit-interrupter operating mechanism is arranged, for opening the interrupter, to withdraw the bridging contact sleeve from one of the fixed contacts and to initiate a gas blast through the gap so opened into the interiors of the fixed contacts and simultaneously or subsequently to withdraw one of the rooting electrodes from the other, so that the arc drawn between the bridging contact sleeve and one tubular fixed contact is transferred to the separated rooting electrodes and is then extinguished.

    摘要: An electrical circuit breaker of the gas blast type includes a hollow columnar insulator atop which are supported circuit breaker components such as a high-pressure housing within which gas such as SF6 is stored in readiness for delivery to a switch contact chamber via a low-pressure housing under the control of a blast valve which is accessible for inspection through the lowpressure housing. A two-position blocking-off member is provided to control communication between the low-pressure housing and the columnar insulator on the one hand, and between the low-pressure housing and the high-pressure housing on the other hand. In a first position of the blocking-off member corresponding to the operating state of the circuit breaker, communication is established between the low-pressure housing and the columnar insulator; in the second position, both the columnar insulator and high-pressure housing are blocked off from the low-pressure housing thereby enabling the latter to be opened for inspection of the blast valve.
