摘要: An electrodeless laser-driven light source includes a laser that generates a CW sustaining light. A pump laser generates pump light. A Q-switched laser crystal receives the pump light generated by the pump laser and generates pulsed laser light at an output in response to the generated pump light. A first optical element projects the pulsed laser light along a first axis to a breakdown region in a gas-filled bulb comprising an ionizing gas. A second optical element projects the CW sustaining light along a second axis to a CW plasma region in the gas-filled bulb comprising the ionizing gas. A detector detects plasma light generated by a CW plasma and generates a detection signal at an output. A controller generates control signals that control the pump light to the Q-switched laser crystal so as to extinguish the pulsed laser light within a time delay after the detection signal exceeds a threshold level.

摘要: An electrodeless laser-driven light source includes a laser that generates a CW sustaining light. A pump laser generates pump light. A Q-switched laser crystal receives the pump light generated by the pump laser and generates pulsed laser light at an output in response to the generated pump light. A first optical element projects the pulsed laser light along a first axis to a breakdown region in a gas-filled bulb comprising an ionizing gas. A second optical element projects the CW sustaining light along a second axis to a CW plasma region in the gas-filled bulb comprising the ionizing gas. A detector detects plasma light generated by a CW plasma and generates a detection signal at an output. A controller generates control signals that control the pump light to the Q-switched laser crystal so as to extinguish the pulsed laser light within a time delay after the detection signal exceeds a threshold level.

The excimer lamp light source device includes: an excimer lamp that has a pair of external electrodes configured to induce an electric discharge in a discharge space of a lamp bulb and to cause a discharge current to flow in a tube axis direction of the lamp bulb, and that generates UV light in the discharge space by the discharge; and an inverter having a transformer equipped with a secondary winding to which the external electrodes are connected in order to apply a high-voltage alternating current to the excimer lamp, the inverter supplying power lower than power that causes a linear discharge.-

摘要: A device for emitting ultraviolet light includes at least one excimer lamp and a housing for the excimer lamp(s). Each excimer lamp has a discharge vessel filled with light-emitting gases, and a pair of first and second electrodes that are placed in contact with the discharge vessel and produce a dielectric barrier discharge inside the discharge vessel. The housing is made of an insulating and heat-resistant resin material. The housing is configured to house the excimer lamp(s), and has a light-emitting window that allows light with a center wavelength in a range from 200 nm to 230 nm emitted from the excimer lamp(s) to exit from the housing.

摘要: Provided is an excimer lamp having a simple and small structure, which can be used in, for example, a refrigerator, and can emit ultraviolet light at a wavelength effective in disinfection processing without generating ozone in a surrounding atmosphere, without leaving gas impurities and moisture in an electrical discharge vessel, and without causing a steep illuminance decrease. A fluorescent substance is disposed on an inner face of the electrical discharge vessel for converting ultraviolet light emitted upon excimer electrical discharge of a light emitting gas to ultraviolet light having a longer wavelength. An inner electrode has a coil shape. A tight winding portion is formed at a certain area of the interior electrode which extends in the center axial direction of the interior electrode such that the coil is tightly wound in the tight winding portion. A getter is attached to the tight winding portion.
