    摘要: Computing devices, input devices, keyboard assemblies, and related systems include a set of conductive traces or leads configured to transfer a capacitive load from an appendage of a user or another capacitive load source from a remote location, such as on a keycap of the keyboard, to a conductive portion or electrode on the keyboard that is positioned near a touch-sensitive interface of a computing device. The capacitive load is thereby transferable through the conductive traces or leads to the touch-sensitive interface without having to directly apply the load, such as by touching a finger to the interface. This can reduce or eliminate the need for on-screen controls or keyboard interface elements in a touch screen device without having to use a more expensive and energy-draining wired or wireless connection between the computing device and a keyboard case or accessory for the computing device.

    摘要: A first device, such as a charger, includes electrical contacts to supply power to a second device, such as a wearable device. The first device includes a detection circuit that measures a sense voltage proportional to an effective resistance, which includes resistances of the contacts, an internal resistance of the second device, and any contaminants between the contacts. When the sense voltage is within a range, the detection circuit determines the second device is compatible and correctly oriented and determines there are insufficient contaminants to alter the effective resistance. The first device de-energizes the contacts while the sense voltage is outside of a voltage range and provides a power supply to one or more of the contacts when the sense voltage is within the voltage range. In some aspects, the detection circuit may delay the power supply for a period of time to avoid false detection events.

    摘要: This disclosure describes insulated glass units (IGUs) that incorporate electrochromic devices. More specifically, this disclosure focuses on different configurations available for providing an electrical connection to the interior region of an IGU. In many cases, an IGU includes two panes separated by a spacer. The spacer defines an interior region of the IGU and an exterior region of the IGU. Often, the electrochromic device positioned on the pane does not extend past the spacer, and some electrical connection must be provided to supply power from the exterior of the IGU to the electrochromic device on the interior of the IGU. In some embodiments, the spacer includes one or more holes (e.g, channels, mouse holes, other holes, etc.) through which an electrical connection (e.g., wires, busbar leads, etc.) may pass to provide power to the electrochromic device.

    摘要: A connector includes a housing and a connector position assurance device (CPA). The CPA is movable between a first position and a second position and assures that the connector is completely mated with a mating connector or maintains a completely mated state in the second position. The housing has a mating portion, a guiding portion, and an abutting portion. The CPA has a base portion guided by the guiding portion and a beam portion. The abutting portion abuts on the beam portion in the first position during non-mating with the mating connector to block movement of the CPA to the second position. The mating connector during complete mating deforms the beam portion to remove the abutment of the beam portion on the abutting portion to allow the CPA to move to the second position.
