摘要: Disclosed is a method for directionally reproducing an input audio signal by a transducer array comprising a plurality of transducers, the method comprising receiving said input audio signal and processing by signal processing to generate a processed audio signal, the processing comprising filtering harmonics in a directionally controllable frequency band, each of said harmonics corresponding to a lower order harmonic in a bass frequency band, wherein said bass frequency band comprises frequencies below said directionally controllable frequency band, generating a plurality of driving signals for said plurality of transducers, wherein said plurality of driving signals are generated on the basis of said processed audio signal by application of directional control filters, and reproducing directional sound representing said input audio signal based on said plurality of generated driver signals using said transducer array. A transducer array system for directionally reproducing an input audio signal is further disclosed.

摘要: Turntable control systems are disclosed. A playback device can include an analog audio source component such as a turntable. The playback device is configured to cause playback of first audio based on analog audio signals generated by the analog audio source component. Based on an indication that analog audio signals are no longer being generated, the playback device requests, via a network interface, audio content from one or more remote computing devices. The request can include identifying related content based on the first audio. The playback device receives, via the network interface, second audio content from, and causes playback of second audio based on the second audio content.

For example, the system may receive a voice command from an input device in an output zone and may reduce output audio generated by speakers in the output zone.

The input audio includes at least one audio object and associated metadata, and the associated metadata indicates at least a location of the audio object. A method for rendering input audio including divergence metadata for playback in a playback environment comprises creating two additional audio objects associated with the audio object such that respective locations of the two additional audio objects are evenly spaced from the location of the audio object, on opposite sides of the location of the audio object when seen from an intended listener's position in the playback environment, determining respective weight factors for application to the audio object and the two additional audio objects, and rendering the audio object and the two additional audio objects to one or more speaker feeds in accordance with the determined weight factors.

摘要: Content rules engines for playback devices are disclosed herein. A media playback system receives a first command to form a synchrony group comprising a plurality of playback devices. The system receives a second command for the synchrony group to play back first audio content. In response to the second command, the first audio content is played back via the synchrony group. The system receives (i) second audio content to be played back by one or more of the playback devices of the synchrony group and (ii) content source properties associated with an audio source of the second audio content. The system accesses a rules engine to determine playback restrictions based at least in part on the content source properties. Based at least in part on the playback restrictions, operation of one or more of the playback devices is restricted.
