摘要： The invention is based on a UV-Vis spectrophotometric method, which is developed to diagnose phenylketonuria (PKU). The method is able to measure the amount of phenylalanine in blood samples in short periods of time with ease to follow-up. In the method of the invention, a yellow colored complex is formed with trans-cinnamic acid and FeCl3 solution, and the absorbance value of this complex is measured with a spectrophotometric device.
