Abstract: A method for velocity adaptive filtering of angiography image sequences is presented, where non-uniform locally varying motion may be present and in which an X-ray contrast medium is inserted intravascularly. A sequence of images are recorded before and/or during one or several contrast injection periods. The motion present in the image sequence contains a combination of two essentially different components: 1) the motion of contrast medium relative to the blood vessel; 2) the motion of the blood vessels relative to the fixed coordinate system given by the camera axis, induced by motion of the patients body or the patients internal organs. For medical diagnosis the previous of these is of primary interest and to obtain maximal clarity of this signal the latter should be maximally suppressed. The method is best described in that the recorded image sequence is analyzed locally within a spatio-temporal neighbourhood limited to a small window in spatial position as well as time. The vessel motion and the motion induced by contrast injection can be separately locally characterized by direction, velocity and spatio-temporal frequency.

Abstract: Power is supplied to telecom equipment in DSLAM outdoor/remote cabinets with relatively short distances between the subscriber and the cabinet. All of the subscriber Customer Premises Equipment connected to the DSLAM each provide a portion of the required power to the remote cabinet via the telephone line connecting the DSLAM and the subscriber CPE. The CPE at the subscriber premises is already connected to power mains in the subscriber premises so, providing power, via the telephone line to the outdoor cabinet is relatively simple. The remote cabinet includes a circuit for receiving the power input from each subscriber and then distributing the power, required by the DSLAM load, equally among the subscribers.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a subrack for housing printed boards in a telecommunication system wherein the subrack is adapted to be mounted in a rack, and the inner dimensions of the rack is such that it is adapted to mount printed boards of a first type via a plurality of conventional subracks. The subrack is adapted to mount at least one printed board of a second type essentially perpendicular, when mounted in the rack, compared to the printed boards of the first type mounted in the plurality of conventional subracks when mounted in the rack, wherein the size of at least one dimension of the or each printed board of the second type is greater than the size of at least one of the dimensions of the printed boards of the first type. Moreover, the invention relates to a cable adapter for connecting a connector of the rack comprising the subrack according to the invention to a printed board of the second type mounted in the subrack.

Abstract: Device for measuring physical properties of the tympanic membrane (TM), comprising an elongated probe (12) with a distal end (15) for inspection of the ear, wherein a plurality of optical fibres is arranged in said elongated probe. The plurality of fibres includes either a first set of fibres (21) for conveying light from a light source to said distal end of said probe and a second set of fibres (22) for conveying light reflected from the tympanic membrane in front of said distal end to a first detector means (23) or a set of fibres both for conveying light from a light source to said distal end of said probe and for conveying light reflected from the tympanic membrane in front of said distal end to a first detector means (23). Said first detector means (23) is designed for measuring the intensity of light reflected from the tympanic membrane. Method for measuring physical properties of the tympanic membrane (TM), including the following steps: a) illuminating the tympanic membrane with light from a light source, b) detecting light reflected from the tympanic membrane, and c) analysing the intensity at selected wavelengths or a spectrum of wavelengths.

Abstract: In a method of mounting cooling air fans (2) in an electronic equipment unit (3) having a unit front (4) a unit rear (5) and unit sides (6, 7) and wherein the cooling air fan/fans produce cooling air flow (AF) directed from the unit front to the unit rear, cooling air fans are attached to a flexible cooling air fan carrier (8) that is introduced through a slot (3A) in the unit front and is advanced along a non-linear path (9). The cooling air fan carrier is advanced along a first, generally straight path section (9A) from the unit front and approximately to the unit rear, further through a second, bent path section (9B) and through a third, generally straight path section (9C) extending along the unit rear, thereby positioning the cooling air fans along the unit rear.
