Abstract: A method of incorporating drugs into an implantable medical device. In one variation, water insoluble drugs are used to form crystals within the porous structure of the device. Upon implantation, the drug crystals dissolve slowly and release the drug into the surrounding tissue. In one example, a water insoluble drug is crystallized within the pores of an ePTFE vascular graft.

Abstract: A stylet capable of being at least partially disposed within a lumen of a device is disclosed. This stylet may include an elongated body comprising a proximal end, a distal end, and at least one magnetic material. In certain embodiments, the elongated body may also include at least one core element, a tubular member circumferentially disposed about at least a portion of the core element, and/or at least one support member circumferentially disposed about at least a portion of the core element. In addition, a matrix material may be disposed between the core element and the tubular member to retain the magnetic material within the elongated body. Abstract: A filter delivery device for implanting a vessel filter within a blood vessel of a patient's body. The filter delivery device includes a mechanism for preventing hooks and/or legs on a vessel filter from entangling with each other while the vessel filter is loaded within the delivery device. In one variation, the filter delivery device includes a delivery catheter with grooves at the distal end lumen opening. When a vessel filter with radially expanding legs is compressed and inserted into the distal end of the delivery catheter, the hooks on the distal end of the legs are received and separated by the corresponding grooves on the delivery catheter. In another variation, a pusher rod, with a receptacle for receiving the hooks, is positioned within a delivery catheter to prevent the entanglement of the hooks and/or legs of a filter loaded within the delivery catheter.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a self-learning bladder volume monitoring system. The system can include a bladder volume (BV) system configured to measure an electrical impedance of a bladder region of a patient and determine a volume of fluid disposed therein using an impedance to bladder volume model ("BV model"). Further, the system can measure a total body water ("TBW") for the patient and modify the BV model to account for variations in TBW within the tissues surrounding the bladder providing a more accurate bladder volume measurement. The system can include a "training unit" which can include one of a user input interface, an automatic urine output monitoring system, an ultrasound system, and an intrabladder pressure system configured to verify a volume of fluid within or voided from the bladder and train the BV model.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a parallel airline sequential pulsatile pump system for moving a fluid through the lumen of a drainage tube to mitigate pooling of fluid therein. Inflating the balloon can result in sequential constriction of the drainage lumen along an axial length thereof to urge a fluid disposed within the drainage lumen toward a container.
