    Abstract: A stylet capable of being at least partially disposed within a lumen of a device is disclosed. This stylet may include an elongated body comprising a proximal end, a distal end, and at least one magnetic material. In certain embodiments, the elongated body may also include at least one core element, a tubular member circumferentially disposed about at least a portion of the core element, and/or at least one support member circumferentially disposed about at least a portion of the core element. In addition, a matrix material may be disposed between the core element and the tubular member to retain the magnetic material within the elongated body. A catheter assembly including a stylet and a corresponding method of manufacture are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A filter delivery device for implanting a vessel filter within a blood vessel of a patient's body. The filter delivery device includes a mechanism for preventing hooks and/or legs on a vessel filter from entangling with each other while the vessel filter is loaded within the delivery device. In one variation, the filter delivery device includes a delivery catheter with grooves at the distal end lumen opening. When a vessel filter with radially expanding legs is compressed and inserted into the distal end of the delivery catheter, the hooks on the distal end of the legs are received and separated by the corresponding grooves on the delivery catheter. In another variation, a pusher rod, with a receptacle for receiving the hooks, is positioned within a delivery catheter to prevent the entanglement of the hooks and/or legs of a filter loaded within the delivery catheter.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, pads, and methods thereof for targeted temperature management. A system, for example, can include a control module and a pad. The pad can include a multilayered pad body and one or more comfort-enhancing features integrated into the pad for mitigating or eliminating skin irritation along at least edges of the pad. The multilayered pad body can include a conduit layer, an impermeable film over the conduit layer, and an adherable layer over the impermeable film.     Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a parallel airline sequential pulsatile pump system for moving a fluid through the lumen of a drainage tube to mitigate pooling of fluid therein. Inflating the balloon can result in sequential constriction of the drainage lumen along an axial length thereof to urge a fluid disposed within the drainage lumen toward a container. Embodiments include, for example, the balloon disposed within the drainage lumen, the balloon disposed on an outer surface of the drainage tube, the balloon within a wall of the drainage tube, and combinations thereof.
