Abstract:
A method of dispensing a composition from a dispensing device includes use of a dispensing device. The dispensing device includes a base and a refill removably connectable with the base. The base has a first actuator and the refill having a second actuator. The method includes the steps of: activating the first actuator to dispense a quantity of a composition from the base; and disconnecting the refill from the base; and activating the second actuator to dispense the composition from the refill.
Abstract:
A dispensing system includes an electronic device. The dispensing system includes a thermoelectric generation device coupled to the electronic device. The thermoelectric generation device includes a first portion, a second portion and a third portion disposed between the first portion and the second portion. The thermoelectric generation device includes an output coupled to the third portion that provides electrical power to the electronic device. The electrical power provided to the electronic device is a function of current induced within the third portion. The current induced within the third portion is a function of a temperature differential between the first portion and the second portion.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
Apparatuses for dispensing fluid product, such as soap, hand sanitizer, lotion, etc. are provided. A reservoir carrier is configured to be interchangeably attached to one or more mounting brackets of a mounting bracket system to facilitate attachment of the fluid dispensing system to various structures. For example, at times the reservoir carrier may be paired with a hanging bracket to facilitate hanging a fluid dispensing system, including the reservoir carrier, on a bed rail. At other times, the hanging bracket may be swapped with a clamping bracket to facilitate clamping the fluid dispensing system to a counter or IV pole.
Abstract:
A sanitary liquid refill apparatus (10) comprising a refill unit (200) and a reservoir unit (100). The refill unit (200) comprises a nozzle (202) having a nozzle tip in which is formed a nozzle outlet (204) and a valve element 208 disposed within the nozzle (202). The valve element (208) is movable between a closed position in which discharge of liquid through the nozzle outlet (204) is prevented, and an open position in which discharge of liquid through the nozzle outlet (204) is permitted. The reservoir unit (100) comprises a reservoir (102), a refill port (112) through which a sanitary liquid is delivered to the reservoir (102), and a flow restrictor (114) for restricting flow through the refill port (112). The flow restrictor (114) is arranged centrally with respect to the refill port (112) such that a periphery of the refill port (112) and the flow restrictor (114) define an annular aperture (119) for receiving the nozzle tip. The flow restrictor (114) is further arranged such that, on insertion of the nozzle tip into the refill port (112), the flow restrictor (114) moves the valve element (208) from the closed position to the open position such that the nozzle (202) and the flow restrictor (114) define a flow path through which sanitary liquid is delivered to the reservoir (102).
Abstract:
A backflow prevention assembly for global use with dispensers requiring a variety of backflow prevention devices based on regulatory standards is provided. The assembly includes a housing comprising first and second housing members and including quick connector attachments extending therefrom. The quick connector attachments are non-threaded members configured to be attached to the various measurement and types of connections found throughout the world. A cover is provided for venting purposes to reduce the backflow siphoning forces or pressure, which causes the backflow of a product chemistry. Furthermore, a backflow prevention device is configured to be fluidly coupled to the housing of the present invention to provide for one way flow and the prevention of backflow of a product chemistry into a water supply. The flow control may be selected based on the regulatory standards of the location used.
Abstract:
A power management system for dispensers is described. The system includes a controller connected to a lower power zero net voltage (ZNV) power source. A power rectification circuit (PRC) converts ZNV power to higher voltage direct current (HVDC) power. An energy storage system connected to the HVDC power source receives and stores HVDC power within the energy storage system which is selectively provided to a dispenser motor load connected to the energy storage system. The system provides an effective solution to the problem of transferring power from a low power battery source on a disposable product to a dispenser as well as providing a system that minimizes corrosion at the electrical interface between the disposable product and the dispenser particularly in higher humidity environments.
Abstract:
