Abstract: A tool is provided to configure an edge compute environment of a network. The edge compute network configuration tool may generate a configuration process for instantiating an edge compute environment at an edge site of a network including configuring one or more of the components of the edge compute environment. The configuration process may include generating automatically executed configuration instructions that communicate with the devices of the edge compute environment to configure operational processes of the devices, provision communication ports, establish one or more network addresses with the devices, etc. In some instances, the edge compute configuration tool may execute one or more micro-services to communicate with and control configuration of the devices of the edge compute environment. In addition, in some instances, a content delivery network may be used to deliver configuration data to the device being configured.

Abstract: A device, method and system for controlling provisioning of a mobile device is provided. An example devices determines, upon power-up, a status of a provisioning flag. The example device, in response to the provisioning flag comprising a first state associated with an out-of-box update mode, implements a first provisioning stage associated with a first communication system according to the out-of-box update mode. The example device, in response to the provisioning flag comprising a second state associated with a post-deployment update mode, implements the first provisioning stage associated with the first communication system according to the post-deployment update mode different from the out-of-box update mode. The example device implements a second provisioning stage for one or more of the second communication system and an operating system implemented at the mobile device.

Abstract: An access access and mobility management function, AMF, entity receives an initial registration request from a communication device and transmits, responsive thereto, a network function, NF, discovery request to a network function repository function, NRF, entity, the NF discovery request comprising a communication device identifier and an NF type identifier. The NRF entity matches the communication device identifier with one of a plurality of communication device identifier ranges configured by the NRF entity, extracts a group identifier, groupId, configured for the one of the plurality of communication device identifier ranges, builds a list of registered NF profiles matching the NF type identifier and registered with the groupId, and transmits the list of registered NF profiles including the groupId and a NRF mapping indication to the AMF entity.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to the field of software-defined networking, in particular to a solution for mapping device configurations of network devices from different telecom vendors in a telecommunication network. To this end, the disclosure proposes a network management device configured to obtain vendor-specific data, input the vendor-specific data into a siamese neural network model in order to compare device configurations, obtain similarity scores, and determine matched device configurations based on the similarity scores. In particular, vendor-specific data are represented into a form of vector or matrix by using word embeddings that are comprised in the siamese neural network model and trained on telecommunication protocols and/or specifications, such as Request for Comments (RFC) documents.

Abstract: Techniques described herein register an endpoint device, such as a utility meter, with multiple headend systems. A system described herein includes a utility meter, which measures consumption of a resource, and a Network Management System (NMS) headend system, which manages a network. The utility meter joins the network and obtains an Internet Protocol (IP) address of the NMS headend system. The utility meter transmits a network registration request to the NMS headend system using the IP address of the NMS headend system and receives, from the NMS headend system, network-related settings of the network. The utility meter obtains an IP address of a second headend system configured to provide a service over the network. Further, the utility meter receives, from the second headend system, configuration settings for using the service of the second headend system and, as such, configures the radio with the network-related settings and the configuration settings.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and software that distribute service requests from a Network Function (NF) service consumer. In one embodiment, the NF service consumer queries an NF repository function to discover a plurality of NF service producers, and receives NF profiles for the NF service producers. Based on the NF profiles, the NF service consumer arranges the NF service producers based locality. For a locality, the NF service consumer identifies one or more NF groups that share a priority value, apportions a workload for the NF service consumer into group workload shares for the NF groups based on the priority values for the NF groups, and apportions the group workload shares into NF workload shares for the NF service producers within the NF groups. NF service consumer then distributes service requests among the NF service producers of one or more localities based on the group workload shares and the NF workload shares.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, signaling may be impacted by Doppler shifts associated with communications between a user equipment (UE) and one or more devices in the system. To account for the Doppler shifts, the UE may receive a Doppler shift measurement configuration to use for estimating one or more Doppler shift parameters associated with one or more reference signals transmitted from the one or more transmission reception points (TRPs). The measurement configuration may include a measurement restriction parameter which indicates a single time duration or multiple time durations that the UE may use to estimate the Doppler shift parameters. The UE may generate and transmit a measurement report for the estimated Doppler shift parameters according to a determined reporting accuracy and granularity.

Abstract: This relates to intelligent automated assistants and, more specifically, to intelligent context sharing and task performance among a collection of devices with intelligent automated assistant capabilities. An example method includes, at a first electronic device participating in a context-sharing group associated with a first location: receiving a user voice input; receiving, from a context collector, an aggregate context of the context-sharing group; providing at least a portion of the aggregate context and data corresponding to the user voice input to a remote device; receiving, from the remote device, a command to perform one or more tasks and a device identifier corresponding to a second electronic device; and transmitting the command to the second electronic device based on the device identifier, wherein the command causes the second electronic device to perform the one or more tasks.
