    Abstract: A tool is provided to configure an edge compute environment of a network. The edge compute network configuration tool may generate a configuration process for instantiating an edge compute environment at an edge site of a network including configuring one or more of the components of the edge compute environment. The configuration process may include generating automatically executed configuration instructions that communicate with the devices of the edge compute environment to configure operational processes of the devices, provision communication ports, establish one or more network addresses with the devices, etc. In some instances, the edge compute configuration tool may execute one or more micro-services to communicate with and control configuration of the devices of the edge compute environment. In addition, in some instances, a content delivery network may be used to deliver configuration data to the device being configured.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to the field of software-defined networking, in particular to a solution for mapping device configurations of network devices from different telecom vendors in a telecommunication network. To this end, the disclosure proposes a network management device configured to obtain vendor-specific data, input the vendor-specific data into a siamese neural network model in order to compare device configurations, obtain similarity scores, and determine matched device configurations based on the similarity scores. In particular, vendor-specific data are represented into a form of vector or matrix by using word embeddings that are comprised in the siamese neural network model and trained on telecommunication protocols and/or specifications, such as Request for Comments (RFC) documents.

    Abstract: Techniques described herein register an endpoint device, such as a utility meter, with multiple headend systems. A system described herein includes a utility meter, which measures consumption of a resource, and a Network Management System (NMS) headend system, which manages a network. The utility meter joins the network and obtains an Internet Protocol (IP) address of the NMS headend system. The utility meter transmits a network registration request to the NMS headend system using the IP address of the NMS headend system and receives, from the NMS headend system, network-related settings of the network. The utility meter obtains an IP address of a second headend system configured to provide a service over the network. Further, the utility meter receives, from the second headend system, configuration settings for using the service of the second headend system and, as such, configures the radio with the network-related settings and the configuration settings.
