Es wird eine mobile Vorrichtung zum Training der Muskulatur bei der gegenläufigen wiederkehrenden Bewegung der beiden Arme eines Sportlers angegeben. Dabei bewegt der Sportler mit seinen beiden Armen gleichzeitig einen in einem Rohr verschiebbaren Kolben hin und her. Der für den Sportler wirksame mechanische Bewegungswiderstand wird durch dessen Arbeitsleistung bei der Erzeugung der entsprechenden Luftströmung bestimmt, wobei der der Luftströmung entgegengesetzte Strömungswiderstand regelbar ist. Vorteilhafterweise wird der Strömungswiderstand dadurch geregelt, dass das Rohr an mindestens einem seiner beiden Enden mit einer Deckplatte mit mindestens einer Öffnung versehen ist, deren Querschnitt veränderbar ist. Eine weitere vorteilhafte Ausführungsform der Vorrichtung ermöglicht es, dass der Sportler diese mittels eines Tragegestells auf seinem Rücken tragen kann.

The present invention provides a training device for training a user to use a pressurised metered dose inhaler (PMDI). The device comprises a body, air expulsion means (e.g. bellows) for expelling air along an air flow path and an actuator for actuation of the air expulsion means. The air flow path comprises a restriction such that upon expulsion of air along the air flow path, an audible signal is generated. The audible signal mimics that generated during use of a PMDI.

Sistema de contra força para equipamento de exercício excêntrico, idealizada por um sistema para ser aplicado em equipamentos para exercícios físicos, pertencente ao campo dos artigos para ginástica, foi desenvolvido especificamente para exercícios excêntricos; os equipamentos para musculação, conhecidos do estado da técnica, utilizam massas, conhecidas como anilhas de peso fixadas às barras manuais ou pedais por meio de cabos, por depender da ação gravitacional, ao se iniciar a tração no cabo a força contrária já está atuante, não possibilitando efetuar um exercício exclusivamente excêntrico; a fim de solucionar esse inconveniente foi desenvolvido o objeto do presente pedido de patente, constituído por um sistema de funcionamento dos equipamentos de musculação (1 ), no qual a movimentação inicial, do pedal ou da barra manual (2), do equipamento de exercício físico (5), é executado sem esforço por parte do usuário e ao chegar em determinada posição do seu curso o sistema passa a exercer a força no sentido contrário automaticamente, afim de retornar o pedal ou a barra manual na sua posição inicial.

An exercise device which includes a base platform, a pivot coupled to the base platform and a user platform rotatably coupled to the pivot and configured to support a user's weight. The base platform includes a support member and a first plurality of attachment members. The user platform is rotatable relative to the base platform and includes a second plurality of attachment members. The device also includes a plurality of resistance members, each resistance member being elongatable and exerting a force against elongation. Each resistance member includes a first end coupled to one of the first plurality of attachment members and a second end coupled to one of the second plurality of attachment members. When the user platform is rotated from an initial position, the resistance members exert a force urging said user platform back to the initial position.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung zur therapeutischen Behandlung und/oder zum Training der unteren Extremitäten eines Menschen mit angetriebenen steuerbaren Bewegungseinrichtungen (10a, 10b), die mit einem ortsfesten Rahmen (11) verbunden sind und Haltemittel (12a, 12b) zur Befestigung jeweils einer Extremität aufweisen, die unabhängig voneinander entlang von Gangtrajektorien bewegbar sind, wobei die Bewegungseinrichtungen (10a, 10b) jeweils einen in verschiedene Höhenlagen schwenkbaren Ausleger (13) aufweisen, der einerseits an einem ersten Schlitten (14) einer Linearführung (15) angelenkt und andererseits mit einem der Haltemittel (12a, 12b) drehbeweglich verbunden ist. An exercising apparatus designed to fit around a seat is provided. Said exercising apparatus includes a frame that is adapted to be secured to the support. Said frame is a U-shaped configuration with a lateral open area to receive said seat into said frame. One or more arms are coupled to said frame about one or more pivots. Further, said pivots allow a pivotal motion of each of said arms when a force is exerted thereto by a user. One or more first resistance devices coupled to said frame and said arms, which provide resistance to said pivotal motion of each of said arms.

The exercise apparatus includes: an arcuate frame member; a support for supporting the frame member in a upright position; a first pulley adapted to be attached to the frame member at one of a plurality of positions along the arc; a second pulley fixedly mounted in the vicinity of a substantially horizontal axis that extends perpendicular to the plane and passes through the center of the circle; at least one source of resistance; a handle to be grasped by a user; and a flexible cable having a proximate end attached to said handle and a distal end coupled to said at least one resistance source, the cable passing through both the first and second pulleys.

An exercise apparatus and method are provided for permitting a seated user, such as a wheelchair occupant, to perform a variety of exercises, preferably including both lower extremity and upper body exercises, without the need to leave a seated position. The exercise apparatus includes a support base, and first and second foot assemblies each configured to receive a respective foot of a seated user of the apparatus. According to an embodiment, the first and second foot assemblies are mounted on the support base to permit selective performance and switching between a pivoting exercise and a translational sliding exercise.
